Hall and room.
In ordinary houses, the hall is in the middle, and the rooms are behind or on both sides of the hall. "Ming Shi Wen" said: "The ancients called the hall, half of which was called the hall before, and half of which was called the room after. When you are in the hall, you are called the house facing the sun. " The hall, also called the hall, was originally the place where the government listened to things, and the calligraphy was bell, which was widely used later. The hall of the official department is also called the hall, so it is called the hall.
The general's hall is empty, just like the book Ming Shi said, but it was also used as a place to give lectures in ancient times, but it was not called a lecture hall. In the past, the school was called the school, which was also changed by the lecture hall.
This hall was originally one of the houses. Later, because of its great fame, the whole house was called Hall, such as Pingshan Hall.
In ancient times, there were probably two names of halls: taking pictures and taking pictures. Righteousness is what Tian Jintang Song wrote, that is, returning home with wealth is the meaning of clothing and brocade. Another example is the Sanhuaitang made by Song Wangdan, because three Sophora trees were planted in front of the hall. In addition, such as Ouyang Xiu's right and wrong hall and Liu's right and wrong hall, they all take the meaning of Xunzi's so-called "right and wrong person is wise". In addition, there are some maverick, such as Mount Tai in Song Xiao, whose hall name is Tang Tang and the museum name is Tingting.
Zhai and Xuan.
Next to the main hall, there is a small room, usually called fasting. Shuowen said, "Zhai, Jie also." He also said, "My husband lives in peace of mind. If he fastes here, he will fast. " Zhai means fasting, so its name is nothing more than self-cultivation, such as Wang Anshi's Gentleman's Zhai Ji, Qiu Renzhai Ji, Zhu's Ke Zhai Ji and Lu Jiuyuan's Jing Zhai Ji. This kind of gentleman, benevolence, forbearance, respect, etc. All knowledge of vigilance is like fasting.
It's the same as Zhai, but it's not as serious as Zhai, but the porch was originally the eaves of the car, so its word is from the car. Later, it was also called the porch under the eaves, which shows that Zhang Zi is fierce. The so-called "Zhengzitong" said: "The eaves end, the porch is called it, and the car is like it. The eaves in front of the hall are particularly high, and those who have no beams in the rafters are also called Xuan. " So, the porch is really a gallery house. In the Tang Dynasty, rooms were gradually named Xuan, such as Liu Zongyuan's Map and Dai Shulun's South.
In fact, Xuanzhai is a place in Yan Xiu. Ouyang Xiu wrote "The Story of Dongzhai": "To the east of the official office, there is Yan Xiuting, named Dongzhai." Su Zhe wrote "The Story of Dong Xuan" and said: "To the east of the hearing hall is the Xuan, where banquets are held." So there is no obvious difference between Zhai Xuan and Zhai Lai, but Xuan is often not as serious as Zhai Lai. For example, Su Zhe wrote Waiting for the Bright Moon, Huang Tingjian wrote The Mystery of the Title, and Yang Wanli wrote This Gentleman, all of which refer to bamboo, which is planted beside the Xuan, hence the name Xuan. It can be seen that most of the mysterious names are born according to the scenery.
Buildings and pavilions.
"Erya" says: "Being in Shaanxi, you can repair the Song Shuo Lou." I don't think so: "Where there is a long and crooked house on the stage, it is called a building." Therefore, Shuowen is interpreted as: "Buildings are heavy houses." The original meaning of a pavilion is a pavilion board, as the Book of Rites says, "A doctor has a pavilion in his seventies." Note: "Yes, there are also graded meals; Pavilion, take the board as it and eat it. " The pavilion was originally used to hide things, but later it was changed to the name of the room, so its purpose was nothing more than hiding things, so the place where ancient books were collected was often called the pavilion. "Sanfu Huang Tu" says: "Tianlu Pavilion is the place where books are collected." "Biography of Yang Hanxiong" says: "The public school book Tianlu Pavilion, the messenger came to collect the public, and the public was afraid, but he threw himself into the pavilion." You can see pavilions and buildings. Not all pavilions have buildings, but most pavilions have buildings, so pavilions are often called pavilions.
