A precious calligraphy frame of Liu Rongsi, the minister of the Ministry of Industry of Ming Dynasty.

Liu Rongsi is a famous historical celebrity in Quzhou and one of the "four great ministers" in Quzhou and Ming Dynasty. He was an official of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in the Ming Dynasty. He is not only an honest official, but also a water conservancy expert, poet and calligrapher. I have read Liu Rongsi's poems, but I have never seen his calligraphy works.

Recently, I saw a photocopy of Liu Rongsi's calligraphy in Quzhou Archives. It is said that Liu's descendants consulted it from the national library and archives department. This calligraphy floats like a cloud, is agile like a dragon, and falls into my arms tomorrow. Although it is less than 100 words, it shows Liu Rongsi's calligraphy skill!

Liu Rongsi's parents died early when he was a child, and he was very clever. When I was ten years old, I wrote a chapter in charge of Nan Juyi. Zhang Fengxiang, the manager, treated him like a national scholar, which made him famous for a while, and there was an endless stream of people asking for articles. In the forty-four years of Wanli (16 16), the soldiers were Jinshi. The first director of the engineering department manages the treasury and the director of the seal inspection department of the official department. He is doctor Ji Xun, Shandong Zuobuzheng, Guanglu Temple Zhengqing, Shuntian magistrate, right assistant minister of the Ministry of Industry, and all ambassadors and ministers until Shangshu, Hedu and right assistant minister of the Ministry of Industry.

Liu Rongsi is an honest official, filial to his younger brother, kind to his father and first-class in politics and literature. He was the leader of northern poetry at that time, and there were several kinds of poems in the world, between Qian Liu (Tang Dynasty poets Qian Qi and Liu Yuxi). His calligraphy was learned from Zhong You and Wang Xizhi in his early years and Su Dongpo in his later years, which was unique. Occasionally painting, there are paintings written by Yunlin, and people compete for treasure. His poetry collection is called Banfang Collection, and his works are collectively called Jian Zhai Collection.

The discovery of this calligraphy provides us with valuable material for studying Liu Rongsi.
