"Biography" is a hieroglyph. It is Oracle Bone Inscriptions-shaped, with flowing water between the left and right banks, and the original meaning of the Sichuan word is river. People's virtue can be passed from father to offspring, even to offspring, and the gene channel is filial piety. If children and grandchildren are filial, they can enjoy the blessings accumulated by their ancestors, and the road to filial piety for future generations will be broken. Therefore, the problem lies with us, not with our ancestors. For example, Fan Zhongyan, a famous politician, strategist and writer in the Northern Song Dynasty, led the army with Confucian scholars, defended the country and lived in a high position, but his family was poor. He adopted more than 100 orphans with his own salary, and the coffins were all given by others after his death. But the profound blessings and virtues he accumulated have overshadowed his descendants for more than one hundred generations. He died in A.D. 1052. Until now, there are still many talented people in the modern Fan family. It cannot be said that Fan Zhongyan's virtue is endless.
"Deep" is where the water stops, and a deep pool is called deep. The water in the pool is clear, so you can see your appearance and appearance clearly like a mirror. The virtue established by the ancestors is like a pool of clear water, and future generations should take it as a mirror, and then establish their own virtue for future generations to pass on from generation to generation. This is the so-called "endless life".

These two sentences are from the Book of Rites? Qu Li. There is a saying in the Book of Rites called "Be disrespectful, think carefully and be calm". Yan Yan is respectful and solemn. Respectful and solemn appearance and quiet behavior are "Rong Zhi's thoughts". "Rong" refers to a person's appearance, and "thoughtful" refers to thinking. A person's appearance and behavior should be peaceful, leisurely and not sloppy.
"Speaking stably" means that the answers to speeches should be stable and calm, and there should be some strength. The ancients taught us that a gentleman should "cultivate one's morality and keep one's family in peace." Inner respect can only be heavy, and it can only be decided if it is heavy. Internal stability, appearance and demeanor are safe. The root of "Rong Zhi's thoughtful and steady words" lies in "respect", so "no respect" is followed by "thoughtful and steady words".
