Make an appreciative comment
"I'm tired of cooking leaves with old Confucianism, but I'm better than stepping on Sophora japonica." The meaning of these two sentences is that Dong Chuan's ambition is not to be poor, and he hopes to get ahead through the imperial examination. Old Confucianism refers to old scholars. Boiled Leaves is a classic. In The Book of Songs Xiaoya Michelle Ye, the second sentence of the first chapter is "Zanye, which was successfully adopted". Leaves taste bitter, and leaves are used in poems to express the roughness and simplicity of dishes at banquets. However, the owner did not give up the gift because of his meager, but sincerely "adopted Heng" ("Heng" and "cooking" are homonyms).
"I'm not looking for a spring horse, but looking at the car." The Spring Horse is an allusion to Meng Jiao's After Graduation. What Su Shi means here is that Dong Chuan can't afford a horse even if he is admitted to the academy. Like Meng Jiao, he "sees all the Chang 'an flowers in one day." Choosing a husband's car is an allusion to "cars full of beads and saddles, lined up" contained in "Choosing a husband on the day when Tang Jinshi came out of the list" and "Ji Zi Ti" by Wang. Su Shi means that Dong Chuan can't see flowers on horseback like Meng Jiao, but he has the opportunity to be surrounded by a "husband-choosing car" to show off himself. These two poems are Su Shi's words of encouragement to Dong Chuan. Being rich is not a problem, but passing the exam is the last word. At that time, everything will be there.
"Pride is like boasting the world, and Sun Wong's wet words are like crows." These two poems continue to encourage Dong Chuan, hoping that one day Dong Chuan can hold his head high when he is the number one scholar, so as to show off the world. When Su Shi wrote here, it seems that he has completely forgotten the beginning of this poem, "I am full of poems and books", and the rest is just a little blessing to a dissatisfied scholar.
This poem is characterized by clever allusions and profound implications. Among them, "there are poems in the belly and pretentious" is a famous sentence that has been recited by people so far. "Poetry" refers to books here; "Qi" refers to temperament and demeanor; "Hua" means glorious and different. From the context of praising Dong Chuan in poetry, separately, that is to say, people who are diligent in reading always have a refined atmosphere, which makes them look different. It is precisely because it sums up a common phenomenon among scholars that it has become a famous sentence about reading and learning and is widely quoted.
