Emperor Cao Zhi (192 ~ 232) in the spotlight was a poet and writer of Cao Wei during the Three Kingdoms period. Pei Guoqiao (now Bozhou City, Anhui Province) was the third son of Cao Cao and Empress Wu Xuan. He was born during the reign of Emperor Xian of Han Dynasty, when the world was in chaos. He joined the army with his father since he was a child. Until the ninth year of Jian 'an (204), Cao Cao wiped out Yuan Shao and held the emperor to make the princes, thus realizing the general unification of northern China.
Cao Zhi has always lived in a family with a strong political and literary atmosphere, deeply influenced by the times and his father Cao Cao. Cao Cao, a great politician, statesman and writer, cherishes literary talents very much and is surrounded by talented people. In this literary atmosphere, Cao Zhi greatly developed his literary talent, and he became famous at an early age. At the age of ten, he can read hundreds of thousands of words of poetry, prose and ci. He is good at painting and calligraphy, familiar with music, and likes dancing and fencing. He is versatile. Cao Cao loves him very much. In the fifteenth year of Jian 'an (2 10), the bronze pagoda built by Cao Cao in Yecheng was completed, and a group of scholars were summoned to the stage to give their blessings. Cao Zhi helped to write Fu with a pen on the stage, and Cao Cao was the first to hand in the paper. Cao Cao praised it after reading it. From then on, every time he went in, he answered any difficult questions. He likes it very much and has high expectations of him.
It can be said that Cao Zhi was a real emperor. His father Cao Cao was the actual ruler of northern China at that time. His mother Bian Shi, queen of Wu Xuan, later became the wife of Cao Cao of Wei Wudi, and his mother's brother Cao Pi was the eldest son of Cao Cao of Wei Wudi. Compared with his younger brother, Cao Pi, also known as San Cao, he is more talented and frank. Compared with Ji Kang, a famous man in Wei and Jin Dynasties, he is more noble and distinguished. He is more optimistic and heroic than Li Yu, the king of national subjugation. As a prince who was deeply loved by his father since childhood and wanted to be an heir several times, he has been living a leisurely life in the spotlight and in a relatively comfortable environment. Some of his works reflect the erosion of his clothes and horses and the feast of cockfighting. For example, in "Cockfighting", it is said: long banquet and sitting in the theater, cockfighting and watching the idle room; "Mingdu" includes: cockfighting in the eastern suburbs, walking for a long time, vividly describing its wonderful riding and shooting, and the fun of swimming. However, unlike ordinary childe, he is not addicted to cockfighting, but ambitious, and wants to serve the country, benefit the people, establish eternal achievements and make the best use of everything (with Yang Dezu's book). His early poems were generous and heroic, showing his ideals and ambitions, filled with optimism and romanticism. For example, his masterpiece "White Horse":
White horse decorated with gold, flying northwest. Excuse me, who is the family? You are a ranger. Young people go to villages and towns, raising their voices and hanging in the desert. I used to bow well, but the arrows were uneven. If the string is controlled to break the left, the right hair will destroy the moon branch. Raise your hand to catch flies and bend down to lay horseshoes. Smarter than monkeys and apes, as brave as leopards. There are many policemen in the border town, and the number of soldiers and riders is also moving. Feathers come from the north, and horses climb the embankment. The dragon drove to the Huns, and the left looked around and led Xianbei. Give up your life on the blade, and your life will be safe? Parents don't care, how can we talk about children and wives! A famous person is a strong person, and he can't be selfish. Forget the national disaster at the risk of life, and suddenly feel life and death.
This poem appreciates the ranger's superb martial arts and patriotic spirit, full of heroic and optimistic spirit, and entrusts his desire and vision for making contributions. His "Lu Luxing" was willing to make meritorious deeds and lost to Mingjun. Taking this into account, Wang Zuocai, generous and independent, deleted Confucius' poetry books, and Wang Yizhi was split. I am ambitious, and I am proud of myself, which shows his great political ambition and high confidence in literature.
