First, if you want to achieve something, two words: persistence;
Second, I want to do things satisfactorily, two words: patience.
However, things in the world are often easier said than done. So, although simple, most people still can't do it.
Looking at the notes of the Qing dynasty, I saw a man who passed the imperial examination until he was 90 years old. Suddenly, his mind changed. I immediately felt that the imperial examination was no longer a tragedy, satire or even farce of Fan Jinzhong in The Scholars, but a comedy.
A 90-year-old grandfather is still eager to take the exam, which is not only a persistent spirit, but also a pleasure for him, I guess.
Here, let's take a look at how it is described in the notes of the Qing Dynasty:
Chen Kangqi, a Qing Dynasty man, recorded this strange and wonderful thing in Lang Zheng's The First Pen of Moon Hee and Xie Qizhuo's The Summit in the Last Year.
During the Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1736 ~ A.D. 1795), there was a man named Xie in eastern Guangdong. He is 98 years old, but he is still in the autumn and taking the provincial exam.
As we all know, what is called a "juror" in rural examinations. After becoming a juren, you can get the qualification to take the exam.
It should be pointed out that in the Ming and Qing dynasties, juren was given preferential treatment, and once elected, they would always be eligible to continue to take the exam. Moreover, there is another difference between juren in Ming and Qing dynasties, that is, they can enter the official career because of this.
In this way, we can understand how Jin Fan in The Scholars was rejected before he was elected. I lifted it in the middle, ecstatic, how flattered.
Zhongju, in the Qing Dynasty, meant that you had the qualification and pass to enter the officialdom.
According to Xie Qizhuo's situation, he is so old because he has been running in the examination room for many years. It is said that according to the past example at that time, he could have applied to the Qing court and asked the government for a gift to give birth to himself.
Every time a senior official of the Qing court wanted to put Xie Qizhuo's name on the list of people who applied for gifts, Xie Qizhuo would try his best to stop it. His statement is:
"Every surname has its own days, depending on everyone's life. Although I am a little old, my writing style has not declined. So, how can I see that I will not be proud of old scholars in my life? "
Xie Qizhuo is a real China native after having obtained the provincial examination in Bingwu.
After obtaining the provincial examination in the Qing Dynasty, it was held every three years, every year in the lunar calendar. Therefore, it is not wrong to say that Xie Qizhuo was selected in the rural examination in Bingwu.
According to the data, it can basically be determined that the year of Bingwu is the fifty-first year of Qianlong (AD 1786).
Although old, although late, but still happy, but still satisfied.
After ZhongJu, Xie Qizhuo compared his late Chinese style to an old woman who was going to get married, and wrote a poem, which said:
98 years old, it is shameful to get married.
Look in the mirror, ytterbium peanut and comb your hair with a snow comb.
I know I'm a virgin, I'm old and romantic.
Send a word to a young woman, don't brag too early.
Poetic, full of joy to write the mood at that time:
Although my old man is 98 years old, it seems that getting married at such a big age should be quiet. However, when it comes to getting married, my mood is still rippling, as shy as a girl.
Look at my face before marriage in the mirror and smile. My face has blossomed. Even if you don't laugh, at this time, the wrinkles on your face are naturally flowers that grow in front of the mirror. Pick up the comb, covered with frost and snow, which is unique among married brides.
No matter what others say or think, I know that I am still a real virgin, and outsiders don't know that I am old, but I am still romantic. Old romance is old romance. Everyone is happy. Let's call it that.
Although I am old, I want to get married, I will get married, and I will fly with birds and butterflies. So, I want to say to those beautiful young girls that you have been accompanied by a good couple for a long time. Actually, there's nothing to boast about, and so do I.
It is said that Xie Qizhuo is also on the same list as a child of 12 years old.
At that time, a governor recorded this great event with a poem at a banquet to celebrate the road after having obtained the national examination, including the following sentence:
Seeing the old man on the Antarctic horizon, the boy will come up in the spring breeze.
The old man in the Antarctic said thank you, while the boy said twelve-year-old children.
This moment was passed down as a much-told story.
The second year (according to the above time, it is fifty-two years of Qianlong, AD 1787, the year of Wei Xin in the lunar calendar, and the year of examination in the Qing court. ), Xie Qizhuo took part in the exam, and the Qing court specially reduced his goodwill and awarded him the title of minister.
After another three years (55th year of Qianlong, AD 1790), Xie Qizhuo attended the celebration of Qianlong's 80th birthday and wished him a good year. During this period, he was promoted to the title of Hong Rongqing. Check the information, this year, Gan Long just eighty years old.
Congratulations on Ganlong's 80th birthday. Before he left, Emperor Qianlong also gave Xie an imperial poem to show his respect.
After more than ten years, Xie Qizhuo died. In this way, he enjoyed a life span of nearly 120 years, which is really hard to get!
Rumor has it that someone personally read Xie Qizhuo's resume in Zhu Juan, and learned from Xie Qizhuo's resume:
He married three wives; There are two concubines; Gave birth to thirteen sons and twelve daughters; There are twenty-nine grandchildren; Thirty-eight great-grandchildren; Great-great grandson
Xie Qizhuo's age is the highest in Qing Dynasty. His family is prosperous and has many descendants. I'm afraid it was difficult to find a second one at that time.
Chen Kangqi, the author of the suicide note, told him this story when he was in the capital.
Later, Chen Kangqi saw that Yu Zai's essay "On Yin Xuexuan" (Hung-chien, the father of Yu Yue, a famous scholar, writer, scholar and calligrapher in the late Qing Dynasty) also recorded this person's story. Therefore, he thinks this should not be nonsense or absurd.
Judging from Chen Kangqi's last narrative, although he was writing about this person, he still had doubts, so he quoted Yu's records to confirm this person's story.
Not only Chen Kangqi suspects, but I also suspect.
Mr. Yu's "Collected Papers of Yin Xuexuan" does have four volumes, but I haven't found the details of this book yet. If you have this book, please feel free to give me your advice!
Check the information, dry Long Dynasty "Qing Shi Lu":
Fifty-one years of Qianlong (A.D. 1786):
"Yu Yue: Tu takes three steps. In this year's Guangdong Provincial Rural Examination, three people are over 90 years old. The traitor Zuo Qi, a Chinese-style juren; Peng's China vice list; Xie Huang finished reading the book in three games and can't speak Chinese. In addition to Xie's Chinese-style juren, Peng Yiyou and Xie Huang both expressed their gratitude to the juren and allowed them to try as a person. Give me a problem, I will be poor, and I will be grateful to you. "
Sixty years of Qianlong (A.D. 1795):
"Yu Yue: Zhu Guizou, imperial academy commented on Xie Qizhuo, 120 years old, calmly watching shoes. Xie Qizhuo is over 100 years old and hale and hearty. Zeng Yuan lived under one roof for five generations. I'm going to give you an editor's title, a balanced imperial book, a pair of big wallets and four small wallets. All things that should be rewarded for building workshops are still handled by the Ministry as usual. "
That is to say, in 1795, Xie Qizhuo 102 years old, conversely, in 1786, Xie Qizhuo was 93 years old when he was elected.
The celebration of the eightieth anniversary of the fifty-second year of Qianlong (A.D. 1787) is:
"... eighty or ninety-year-old-friends, Xie Huang, Wang Xiegong,-Zuo, Tu and Zhu Shaobi (about forty people in all) ..."
According to historical records, Xie Qizhuo's life story is basically true, and the age is slightly different, which is probably a mistake passed down by word of mouth.
