He is a member of Ling Han's family.

The eldest son: He, a poet, painter and calligrapher in the late Qing Dynasty. Zeng Guan is an editor of the Hanlin Academy, a proofreader of the Academy and a translator of the National History Museum.

The second son: He Shaoye, painter and calligrapher in the late Qing Dynasty. Used to be a member of the officers and men.

Third son: He Shaoqi, seal engraver of calligraphy and painting. Zeng Guan went to Daoyuan, Zhejiang.

Fourth son: He Shaojing, seal engraver of calligraphy and painting. He was a candidate for Taoist priest in Hubei.

Grandson: He (1821-1891) is a famous calligrapher, scholar and official.

Great-grandson: He Weipu, the grandson of the painter He Zhi. Zeng Guan was the alternate magistrate of Jiangsu and the general manager of Shanghai Pujun Bureau.

Great-grandson: He Weidong (Jinshi 1852- 1887), grandson of He Shaoye, painter and seal engraver. Jishi Shu, a former official in imperial academy, was in charge of changing the library into an official in the Ministry of Punishment.

Great-grandson: He (Juren 1856- 19 13), calligrapher, scholar and the first president of Sichuan University. Great-grandson: He Weituan (juren1856-unknown), calligrapher, scholar and government official. Great-grandson: He Wei (about 1853- 1888) Great-grandson of a famous riddler and scholar in the late Qing Dynasty: He (unknown), painter of the Republic of China and commander of Suzhou garrison.

Xuan Sun: He Jichuan (Juren 1880- 1934), painter and scholar Xuan Sun: He Jizhi (unknown), a famous seal engraver, artist and scholar in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China: He (1884- 18).
