1. Qu Yuan
Qu Yuan (about 34-278 BC) was a poet and politician of Chu in China during the Warring States Period. Born in Zigui, Danyang, Chu (now Yichang, Hubei). Chu Wuwang Xiong Tong's son Qu Xian's offspring. When I was a teenager, I was well educated, knowledgeable and ambitious. In his early years, he was trusted by Chu Huaiwang as a Zuotu and a doctor of San Lv, who was also in charge of domestic and foreign affairs. He advocated "American politics", advocated promoting talents and appointing talents internally, perfecting statutes, and uniting with external forces to resist Qin. Being slandered by the nobles, he was exiled to Hanbei and Yuanxiang Valley successively. After the capital of Chu was breached by Qin Jun, Qu Yuan drowned in the Miluo River and died.
2. Wang Zhaojun
Zhao Jun (about 52- 19 years ago) was born in Zigui (now Xingshan County, Yichang City, Hubei Province), the emperor of the Western Han Dynasty and his wife-in-waiting, and was called the four beauties of ancient China with The Story Of Diu Sim, Xi Shi and Yang Yuhuan. Wang Zhaojun maintained the stability of Sino-Hungarian relations for half a century, and the story of Zhaojun's departure from the fortress spread through the ages.
3. Du Fu
Du Fu (712-77), with beautiful words, was of Han nationality, originally from Xiangyang, Hubei, and later moved to Gongxian, Henan. Self-styled Shaoling Yelao, a great realistic poet in Tang Dynasty, was called "Li Du" together with Li Bai. In order to distinguish Li Shangyin and Du Mu from "Little Li Du", Du Fu and Li Bai are also called "Great Li Du", and Du Fu is often called "Old Du".
Du Fu's influence on China's classical poetry is far-reaching, and he is called "the sage of poetry" by later generations, and his poems are called "the history of poetry". Later generations called him Du Shiyi and Du Gongbu, and also called him Du Shaoling and Du Caotang.
4. Yang Shoujing
Yang Shoujing (June 2, 1839—January 9, 1915), a native of Lucheng Town, Yidu City, Hubei Province, was named Kaike and renamed Shoujing. In his later years, he became an old man in the neighboring Soviet Union. Outstanding historical geographer, epigraphy philologist, catalogue versionist, calligraphy artist, coin collector and bibliophile in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.
Yang Shoujing studied hard all his life, learned extensively and memorized, and was famous for his expertise in textual research. He was a great scholar who integrated geography, epigraphy, calligraphy, coins, book collection and bibliography of stone tablets.
5. Yao Ji
Yao Ji is the most famous goddess in the Three Gorges. We usually say the goddess of the Three Gorges, which means this goddess. Legend has it that she was the youngest daughter of Emperor Yan, died as a minor, was buried in Wushan, and became a goddess of Wushan. There are the most legends, the most abundant materials and the most extensive influence about this goddess in the Three Gorges area. Goddess peak in the Twelve Peaks of Wushan is the image of this goddess.
