There are several kinds of calligraphy.
There are five kinds of calligraphy in China: seal script, official script, regular script, running script and cursive script. Seal script: the brushwork is thin and powerful, with more curves and less straight lines. There are Fang Bi, round pen and sharp pen at the beginning, and many "hanging needles" at the end. The broad sense of seal script includes Oracle Bone Inscriptions and inscriptions on bronze. The seal script here is especially limited to the big seal script and the small seal script. Generally speaking, the ancient prose and hoop prose before the pre-Qin period are called Da Zhuan, and the characters compiled by Li Si are called Xiao Zhuan. Official script: Official script is developed from seal script, which is to simplify seal script, turn circle into square and turn arc into straight. The emergence of official script is to deal with the increasingly complex official document processing. Changed the structure of seal script, emphasizing horizontal and vertical, tight shelf. Official script is much more convenient than seal script, which saves a lot of precious time for future generations and is also of great academic value. Regular script: Regular script is also called regular script, real script and official script. Li Shu, founded by Cheng Miao, has gradually evolved and become more simplified and level. Regular script is an improved script in Han dynasty, which is based on the official script font. Now people call it regular script. Because regular script is more convenient to write than official script, people in Han Dynasty used it to meet the needs of real life. Running script: it is a kind of calligraphy, which is divided into running script and running script. It developed and originated on the basis of regular script. Running script is not as good as official script, and the circle is not as good as seal script. In other words, it is a variant of regular script, which is called running script because it looks like people walking. Cursive script: It evolved from official script and was used for simple writing. There are many names of cursive scripts, such as Cao Zhuan, Cao Li and Crazy Grass. Its structure is simple, the strokes are correct, the writing is smooth and fast, and it is difficult to identify.
