There is a mansion in the western suburbs of Chengdu. 1000 years ago, the great poet Du Fu came to Chengdu to escape the "An Shi Rebellion". He built a small house beside Huanhuaxi and wrote 240 poems in four years.
After the construction and expansion of later generations, the current thatched cottage has become a park covering an area of nearly 300 acres. In addition to the temples in Ming and Qing Dynasties, there are Meiyuan and Lan Xiang Gardens in Ao Shuang. Many beautiful scenery make tourists linger.
In March, flowers are in full bloom, which is a good time to step into spring.
As soon as I entered the gate, I felt the deep spring. Unexpectedly, the thatched cottages that were once woven by tourists are now almost deserted. After all, it was during the epidemic. Through the mask, I can clearly smell the fresh grass and pine trees.
In the thatched cottage, the cypresses are towering, the fragrant south forest covers the sky, and the bamboo pine is as dense as a cloud. It's really a vibrant scene.
Walking along the stone road, there is an antique building in front. Covering an area of about 30 acres, it is an independent courtyard, consisting of ancient buildings, halls and square meditation rooms. The Zen Hall and the main hall are connected by a long corridor, which has a strong China classical atmosphere.
Now this hall is an exhibition hall for cultural relics and calligraphy and painting, but fifty years ago, it was the former site of Chengdu May 7th Art School.
At that time, the platform and the back hall were places for acrobatic students to pedal jars, turn over porcelain plates and sit on coasters.
The training room of Beijing Opera class is now a calligraphy hall.
Over time, the current thatched cottage is a key cultural relic protection unit and a good place for leisure and nostalgia.
Cross the hall and walk into an arched stone gate. In front of you is a small bridge with flowing water and flowers in full bloom.
Koi fish in the pool is very spiritual. When he heard the sound, he immediately got together happily, and a pool of still water became more beautiful because of them.
Walking across a small bamboo bridge, this is the former residence of Du Fu's Caotang. This antique thatched cottage was restored and rebuilt according to Du Fu's immortal masterpiece "Autumn Wind Breaking the Cottage" and the architectural pattern of the Ming Dynasty.
The hut was built in a beautiful place, surrounded by streams and trees. The bamboo fences are flying and the grass is lush, which fully explains the pastoral scenery described in Du Fu's poems, such as "my north, my south, spring water flowing over" and "the back of wild old fences".
Push Chai Men away and plant "four pines" on the left and "five peaches" on the right. Gu Nan is connected to Mao Ting, Mianzhu is covered with Lv Yun, the vegetable garden is green, and the medicine bar is gloomy.
All this makes people feel the deep pastoral interest of the poet when he lives here.
We took a group photo beside the hut and unconsciously recited Du Fu's poem "Jiangcun": "But if I have an old friend of Milu, what can I ask for?"
Visit Du Fu's Cottage, and there are other places worth visiting, such as the red wall, the flower path hidden by bamboo, the beautiful plum garden, and the simple and elegant screen of the Cottage inlaid with broken porcelain.
Speaking of the origin of "flower diameter", it is said that a path with flowers and trees on both sides leads to Du Fu Caotang, which the poet calls "flower diameter".
At present, there is a plaque hanging at the entrance of the eastern end of Huadao, on which is the book Huadao inscribed by the famous calligrapher Xiao Longyou. On both sides of the doorframe are Guo Moruo's inscribed couplets: Floriculture learns HongLing Dance, and the path opens in Jin Quan.
As for the shadow wall of the thatched cottage, it is a must-see attraction for tourists when they come to the thatched cottage. This is a quaint and unique mosaic of broken porcelain. Chairman Mao stared at these two words for a long time when he visited the thatched cottage on 1958.
