Fang Fang: If you lived in the same era as Su Dongpo, would you marry him?
I like Su Dongpo
Many years ago, when I was a junior high school student, one year the school organized agricultural labor studies. This was an indispensable course for middle school students at that time. Went to Huangzhou. During the break between work, the Chinese teacher suggested that we go to Dongpo Chibi, which is 40 miles away, and then gave us a brief introduction to Su Dongpo. Although we were already in middle school at that time, there were no ancient poems in the textbooks at that time, so most of us did not know about Su Dongpo. Because my father told me the story of Su Xiaomei, I finally knew that this was the name of Su Xiaomei’s brother.
At that time, Chibi in Huangzhou was far less colorful than it is now. It was like a ruins and desolate. The mighty Yangtze River flows under the Zuixian Pavilion (when I went there two years ago, the Yangtze River could no longer be seen in Chibi, Dongpo, and there was an artificial small lake under the Zuixian Pavilion). The Chinese teacher was in front of the "Erfu Hall". We explained the front and back Chibi poems; in front of the inscription "Niannujiao Chibi nostalgic", he recited to us "The great river goes eastward, the waves are gone, and the romantic figures of the ages..." The teacher spoke very passionately, and probably suppressed it for a long time, which has always given us a lot of attention. Reading "wen ge"'s prose brought me a big shock.
As soon as I returned home from work, I asked for poems and essays about Su Dongpo from my father and read them one by one. From then on, I became somewhat familiar with an ancient Chinese poet. Because of this reason, every time I read Su Zi's poems, I feel more intimate than other poets, as if he is an acquaintance I have known for a long time. And when I read more deeply, when I understand more about Chinese culture, when my experience becomes richer, I feel more and more that Su Dongpo, whom I met when I was a boy, particularly impressed me. I like it, and I feel more and more that there is no scholar in the world who is greater, more elegant and more lovely than Su Dongpo, both as a writer and as a person.
In the history of Chinese civilization for thousands of years, there are countless literati who are famous in history, and there are countless poets who are particularly loved by future generations. But often the poems and essays are good, but the people are not lovable; the characters are quite good, but the poems and essays are mediocre. There are very few people like Su Dongpo who are both perfect and charming in poetry, calligraphy, painting and character. Therefore, I always feel that since the emergence of Su Dongpo, other Chinese literati except Li Bai have become eclipsed in his light.
Of course, my liking for Su Dongpo first started with his poetry. Regarding Su Zi's poems and articles, I have never used any kind of praise. In China, when traveling to famous mountains and rivers, or drinking under the moonlight during the Mid-Autumn Festival, people often cannot help but mention Su Dongpo, as if without Su Dongpo, the mountains, water, wine and moon would be greatly inferior. The most culturally significant mountain in history is Mount Lu, and the most meaningful poem about Mount Lu is by Su Dongpo (“I don’t know the true face of Mount Lu, just because I am in this mountain”); the water with the most cultural significance is the West Lake, and the poem about it is written by Su Dongpo. The most expressive poem is also by Su Dongpo ("If the West Lake is compared with the West Lake, heavy makeup and light makeup are always suitable"); as for the Mid-Autumn Festival, since Su Dongpo's drunken poem "When will the bright moon come? Ask the blue sky with wine", other " The rest of the words are discarded." Whether Su Dongpo was thinking about his feelings or nostalgic, whether he was aloof or unrestrained, whether he was in a cheerful mood or in a depressed mood, in short, whatever he did, his works could almost be ranked among the "best" of similar works. ". At that time, whenever His Majesty Shenzong would "raise chopsticks but not eat", people would know that he must be reading Su Dongpo's articles; scholar Zhang Yuanbi had a beautiful wife at home, but because he loved Su Zi's poems and essays so much, his wife could not bear it, so Zhang Yuanbi Su Er divorced his wife. When a person's talent reaches this level, it really leaves people with nothing to say except admiration and admiration.
Su Dongpo is admired and favored by countless descendants not only because of his unparalleled talent, but also because he is both wise and kind, broad-minded and humorous, elegant and bold, rich in justice and rich in wealth. Due to the emotional nature. His character is so colorful and charming that people can't help but fall in love with him. His life experience was quite rough. Because he was too talented, he was framed by villains all his life: he was imprisoned in the capital, demoted to Huangzhou, wandered around the world, and finally was awarded the "Yuanyou Party Monument", which involved many people. child. Looking at his life, he actually did not live many peaceful and quiet days. However, he did not spend all day unkempt and mournful because of these, and he "told the history of his revolutionary family" to everyone he met.
Although he had his confusions and worries, they were still like clouds of smoke passing through his extraordinary understanding heart without stopping. He still loves life and is optimistic about life in his own way, which makes his genius shine throughout his life: when he plays with ink, he creates Chinese literati painting; when he writes, he has amazing calligraphy that will last for thousands of years; when he eats delicious food, he creates Delicacies such as "Dongpo Meat" and "Dongpo Cake" were spread; as soon as he wore it, "Dongpo Hat" and "Dongpo Clogs" were immortalized among the people; as soon as he spoke of his writing, monks became famous monks;… ...and so on, it seems that as long as Su Dongpo moves a little, he will leave a strong cultural color. How interesting it would be for a person to live to such an extent. If Su Dongpo were dug up root and branch, I believe the entire history of Chinese culture would be weightless. It is precisely the existence of Su Dongpo, his attitude towards life and the existence of life spirit that allow us future generations to truly see what it means to be a genius poet and what it means to be generous.
I like Su Dongpo so much that I can’t even hear others dislike Su Dongpo. If anyone heard this, they would definitely blush and want to compete. This attitude made my husband couldn't help but ask once: If you lived in the same era as Su Dongpo, would you marry him? As long as Su Dongpo is willing to marry me, the answer will naturally be yes. He didn't know how happy it would be to be the first person in the world to read Su Dongpo's poems and listen to Su Dongpo's laughter and laughter all day long!
