Gao Jun, male, born in October 1966.
Graduated from Changchun Institute of Geology in 1987.
Received master’s and doctoral degrees from the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences in 1990 and 1993, respectively.
1994 to 1995 Worked at the postdoctoral mobile station of the Department of Geology of Peking University.
From 1996 to 2000, he worked at the Institute of Geology, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences.
In 1996, he was promoted to researcher as an exception.
In 2001, he was selected into the "Hundred Talents Program" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and has been working in the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences as a researcher and doctoral supervisor.
He has visited the University of Würzburg and the University of Erlangen in Germany many times for visiting research.
He has been responsible for projects such as the National Ninth Five-Year Plan for Key Scientific and Technological Research, the National Natural Science Foundation of China Key Fund, Sino-German Cooperation, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Hundred Talents Plan. He served as chief scientist of the National Key Basic Development Planning Project (973) "Central Asian Orogeny and Mineralization in Western China" (2002-2006).
More than 50 papers have been published. Among them, more than 30 SCI papers have been cited by SCI more than 700 times. The number of citations of many first-author SCI papers ranks among the top in the number of citations of papers published in the same year in the publications. .
Currently, he is undertaking the research tasks of the 973 "Continental Dynamics Process and Mineralization of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt" project "Continental Margin Accretion Process and Mineral Formation Enrichment" and the National Natural Science Foundation project.
