Introduction to Huang Jie

Huang Jie (1873-January 24, 1935) was originally named Huiwen, courtesy name Yukun, and nickname Chunxi. He was also named Huiweng, Peiwen, Huang Shishi, Jianjia Louzhu, etc., in Shunde, Guangdong Ganzhu Youtan people. Because he despised the treasonous behavior of his fellow clan member Huang Shijun, he changed his name to "Jie" and took the nickname "Ganzhutan Stone Washer". Huang Jie is one of the founders of my country's progressive newspaper industry and a famous education scholar. He was good at poetry and calligraphy throughout his life. His poet is called "the face of the Tang Dynasty and the bones of the Song Dynasty". Together with Liang Dingfen, Luo Yigong and Zeng Xijing, they are known as the "Four Modern Masters of Lingnan". He is the author of "Jianjia Tower Poems", "Han and Wei Yuefu Style Notes", "Poem Purpose Compilation", etc.
