Articles of Association of Wuhan Calligraphers Association

Article 1: The Wuhan Calligraphers Association is a mass calligraphy art group composed of Wuhan calligraphers, seal engravers, engravers, calligraphy theorists, calligraphy educators and calligraphy organizers under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. The Association is a group member of Wuhan Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and under the leadership of the Party Group of Wuhan Federation of Literary and Art Circles, it has completed all the tasks undertaken.

Article 2 This Association follows the Party's basic line in the primary stage of socialism, and adheres to the direction of literature and art serving the people and socialism and the policy of "letting a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend". Under the condition of socialist market economy, this association carries forward the main theme, advocates diversification, prospers and develops Wuhan calligraphy art, and strives to build socialist spiritual civilization and realize the modernization of the motherland.

Article 3 The main duties of this Association are liaison, guidance, coordination and service. Widely unite and actively organize calligraphers and calligraphers in our city to study Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought, and learn from Comrade Deng Xiaoping's theory of building Socialism with Chinese characteristics; Inherit and carry forward the excellent tradition of China's calligraphy art, encourage exploration and innovation, and advocate free competition of different styles and schools; Carry out activities such as calligraphy creation, theoretical research, holding exhibitions and organizing calligraphy education, develop and expand the calligraphy team, produce works and talents; Carry out calligraphy art exchange activities at home and abroad, push the achievements of calligraphy art in our city overseas, and make contributions to Wuhan's going to the world and letting the world know about Wuhan.

Article 4 All citizens who have reached the age of 18 and live in Wuhan support the articles of association of the Association and meet one of the following conditions: those whose calligraphy, seal cutting and lettering works have participated in exhibitions sponsored or jointly organized by the Association and reached a higher level; There are calligraphy, seal cutting, lettering works or papers published in calligraphy professional newspapers at or above the municipal level and have a high level; Those who have published calligraphy theory's works, calligraphy translations and calligraphy collections; Engaged in calligraphy education or calligraphy organization and achieved outstanding results. Membership procedures must be complete: I submit a written application, two works and relevant materials to prove the membership conditions, two members introduce me, fill in the membership registration form, review the applicant's unit or residence area, recommend it to the club, and become a club member after being approved by the club's standing Council. Under special circumstances, members can be recruited directly.

Members of China Book Association and Hubei Book Association in Han can become members of this Association after going through the membership procedures.

Overseas calligraphy lovers who request to join our Association can be considered as honorary members and honorary directors by the Standing Committee of our Association as a special case.

Article 5 There are a large number of veteran cadres and veteran comrades in our city who love the art of calligraphy and have given great support to the work of this association. After retirement, they have more time for calligraphy creation and research. We should warmly welcome them to participate in the activities of this association, actively attract accomplished people to join the club, let them learn and make contributions to the cause of calligraphy.

Article 6: All non-trans-regional and cross-industry calligraphy organizations in Wuhan can become members of the Association after being recommended by the leading departments of their units and approved by the Standing Council of the Association.

Group members accept the guidance of the association in business and the leadership of its competent department in administration.

Article 7 Members have the right to participate in the activities of the Association and make criticisms and suggestions on the work of the Association; Have the right to vote and stand for election; Have the right to enjoy the treatment of this association; Have the freedom to withdraw from the meeting; Have the obligation to implement the resolutions of the association, complete the tasks assigned by the association and pay the membership fees on time.

Group members enjoy the same rights and obligations as individual members.

Article 8: The Association will safeguard the rights and interests of calligraphers endowed by the Constitution and laws, and take necessary protective measures according to law when the legitimate rights and interests of its members are infringed.

Article 9 Members shall abide by the Constitution of the State and the articles of association of this Association. Members who have been punished for illegal crimes shall be expelled from their membership. If a member violates the articles of association, impairing the work of the association or damaging the reputation of the association, depending on the seriousness of the case, informed criticism shall be given, and his membership shall be suspended or cancelled. Members who do not participate in the activities of the association for a long time or fail to pay their membership fees for two consecutive years will automatically quit.

Article 10 The highest authority of this Association is the member congress of Wuhan Calligraphers Association. When the Congress is not in session, the Council acts on behalf of the Congress; When the Council is not in session, the Standing Council will lead the work of the Council.

Representatives of the Congress of Wuhan Calligraphers Association are elected according to democratic principles and procedures; The congress is held every five years, and it can be held in advance or postponed when necessary.

The functions and powers of the congress are: to consider and adopt the report on the work of the congress; Amend the Articles of Association; Elect a new Council.

Article 11 The members of the Council of this Association are elected by the general meeting of members to form the Council. The functions and powers of the Council are: to elect the chairman, vice-chairman and executive director; To examine and approve the work report and work plan of the Association, and inspect and supervise their implementation; To consider and pass the proposal of the Standing Council on adding or replacing directors or executive directors, vice-chairmen and chairmen.

The Council shall be convened once a year, and if necessary, the Standing Council shall decide to convene it in advance or postpone it.

Article 12 The Standing Council is the leading body of the Association, consisting of a chairman, several vice-chairmen and several executive directors. The chairman, vice-chairman and executive director are elected by the board of directors. The Secretary-General shall be nominated by the chairman and discussed and approved by the Standing Council. The chairman, vice chairman, executive director, secretary-general and deputy secretary-general are all reported to the higher party Committee for approval. The Standing Council shall be convened by the Chairman or the Vice Chairman entrusted by the Chairman at least twice a year.

The Standing Council shall exercise collective leadership in accordance with the principle of democratic centralism. Its functions and powers are: leading the implementation of the resolutions of the general assembly and the Council; Formulate long-term plans and annual work plans, and summarize the annual work; Negotiate plans for external activities; To examine and approve and handle the members of this Association; To examine and approve major financial expenditures.

The Standing Council shall set up necessary working bodies to handle daily work.

Thirteenth according to the needs of the work, the association hired a number of honorary chairmen and consultants. Honorary chairman and consultant do not concurrently serve as directors. .

Article 14: Economic source of the Association: (1) State appropriation; (2) membership fees (including individuals and group members) (3) social groups or individuals (including groups and individuals who are enthusiastic about calligraphy at home and abroad); (4) Income from paid services and business activities related to culture.

Article 15: The Articles of Association shall be implemented as of the date of adoption by the members' congress. The right to interpret the Articles of Association belongs to the Standing Council. Amendments to the Articles of Association shall be discussed and approved by the members' congress.
