Contents of standardized education of children's calligraphy

As a form and way of educational activities, children's calligraphy education has some problems, such as excessive utilitarianism and single teaching method, due to the vague educational objectives. Starting from the value of children's calligraphy education and based on the reform and perfection of children's calligraphy education, children's calligraphy education should aim at stimulating and cultivating children's interest in learning calligraphy, improving children's aesthetic perception ability, cultivating children's aesthetic expression ability and creativity, and infiltrating moral and emotional education, so as to really promote children's physical and mental health development.

Chinese characters, as the only morpheme character in the world that integrates form, sound and meaning, bear the long history and culture of the Chinese nation. As a unique art form, Chinese characters also contain rich educational resources. The art of calligraphy based on Chinese characters not only contains the requirements for the reading and writing ability of a single Chinese character, but also has rich aesthetic value. In recent years, with the rise of the upsurge of traditional culture and education in China, it has been widely concerned by educators.

Since 1990s, in the discussion on children's calligraphy education in China, more attention has been paid to the methods and contents of calligraphy education. Of these two aspects, the former solves how to teach and the latter solves what to teach, which are fundamentally restricted and influenced by the goal of calligraphy education. Without a clear goal of calligraphy education, it will inevitably lead to blindness in children's calligraphy education, and incomplete or unscientific goals will also lead to one-sidedness in calligraphy education practice. Judging from the present situation of children's calligraphy education, there are still some problems in people's understanding of the goals of children's calligraphy education, which have affected the realization of the true value and function of calligraphy education. Therefore, it is necessary for us to discuss the goal of early childhood calligraphy education in order to promote the healthy development of early childhood calligraphy education.

Second, the current problems in children's calligraphy education

At present, calligraphy education is generally a kind of selective education outside the formal kindergarten education, and it has not been included in the formal curriculum teaching system of kindergartens. Therefore, children's calligraphy education has not been fully concerned by professional educators from the beginning, and there is also a lack of scientific definition of children's calligraphy education objectives. In the specific implementation process, the following serious problems inevitably deviate from the fundamental goal of early childhood education.

(A) the utilitarian nature of children's calligraphy education

Because calligraphy itself is more of an art, children's calligraphy education contains rich educational content, which not only has certain knowledge and skills education, but also has certain aesthetic function. At present, there is a general utilitarian educational tendency in children's calligraphy education, that is, too much attention is paid to the training of skills and knowledge, while the experience of aesthetic education and cultural connotation contained in calligraphy itself is ignored. Parents and some educators attach great importance to children's mastery of calligraphy skills and whether children can get corresponding honors, which is quite different from the fundamental goal of early childhood education to cultivate children's interest in learning and gain a positive learning experience.
