Although Du Fu only lived in Qinzhou for more than three months, he was forced to move to Tonggu (now Chengxian County) due to hunger in the winter of the same year, and then traveled south, arriving in Chengdu at the end of the year. However, this was the most difficult and unforgettable experience in his life. Several poems written by the poet during his stay in Qinzhou were written by Dongke Gu. It can be said that the "root" of the poet's coming to Qinzhou was in Dongke. And "these poems have reached the highest achievement." It is a precious cultural heritage and spiritual wealth left by the poet to the people of Tianshui. The people of Tianshui should inherit and carry forward these legacies. Renovating the Du Fu Dongke Thatched Cottage is an unshirkable responsibility given by history to the people of Tianshui. According to "Yuan?" According to historical records such as "Yi Tong Zhi", "Ancient Suo Ji", and "Yong Da Ji", Dongke Thatched Cottage was built in the Shaosheng reign of Zhe Zong of the Northern Song Dynasty (1094 AD), more than 900 years ago. There were thatched cottages in the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties for viewing, but they were destroyed by war in the last years of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1644). After being rebuilt, it was destroyed by war again in the seventh year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1868 AD) (see the clippings of Mr. Xian Zhemin from the People's Political Consultative Conference). According to Zhang Zhong's article "How Much Do You Know About Du Fu Temple in Longshang", "Dongke Du Fu Temple is the earliest one built to commemorate Du Fu among all the temples built in Qin, Long, Shu, Jing, Chu and Henan." "It can be said to be the best thatched cottage in the world." Therefore, it was listed as one of the top ten scenic spots in Tianshui after the Song Dynasty. For a long time, Liujiahe, where the thatched cottage is located, has been called "Zimei Village", and the school has been called "Zimei Primary School". The thousand-year-old Sophora japonica next to it, the Eight-gut Sophora japonica, is also called Zimei Sophora japonica. The local folk songs that have been passed down to this day say "Nine-gu pine, eight-gued Sophora japonica, Du Fu's Thatched Cottage, and Inkstone Terrace". According to information provided by some experts and scholars, in 1959 after the founding of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Feng Guoduan initiated the construction of Ganquan Yulan Hall and Tianshui Dongke Dufu Thatched Cottage, and received strong support and cordial care from Governor Deng Baoshan. The Magnolia Hall was completed on schedule, but the latter was put on hold for a long time due to the influence of the objective situation and climate.

In the 1990s, the time, location, people and conditions were all in place to rebuild Dongke Cottage. Xian Xuan, Xie Xueyi, retired cultural and educational people living in Dongke Valley, Seven people, including Bu Yuji, Xian Zhemin, Dang Boxue, Zhang Xiaoqian and Jia Zhikang, planned to initiate the reconstruction of "Du Fu Dongke Thatched Cottage". This move received strong support from Fan Jufu, then secretary of the Jiezi Township Party Committee, as well as the township party committee and township government. I think this is a good thing that promotes local traditional culture and has practical significance. The author was commissioned to draft the "Report of the Jiezi Township People's Government on the Reconstruction of Du Fu Dongke Thatched Cottage", which was submitted to Beidao District in April 1993. The Tianshui Municipal People's Government also submitted it to the provincial government.

In the winter of the same year, Secretary Fan informed that the report had been approved by all relevant departments and preparations would be made later. Everyone is looking forward to it. In 1995, we received reliable information that relevant provincial departments had allocated funds twice (the exact amount is unknown), but by the spring of 1996, there had been no movement. At this time, there were major changes in the leadership of Jiezi Township, which cannot be confirmed. So Xie Xueyi and seven other people jointly sent a letter to the Provincial Department of Culture to inquire. Soon I received a positive reply and was informed that the matter had been transferred to the tourism department. At the turn of the summer and autumn of 1996, the Jiezi Township Government held a groundbreaking ceremony on the original site of the thatched cottage and began construction of a wavy flower wall. Three years later, in October 1999, three more huts were built. Although it is very simple, after all, it has set up a shelf and has played a role in attracting tourists, which is gratifying. Now, of the seven founders listed above, the first four have passed away one after another. Of the three who are still alive, two are in their eighties, and I myself am seventy-three. I sincerely hope that before I close my eyes, I can see the new look of the "Du Fu Dongke Thatched Cottage" standing in the Dongke Valley. The original site of Du Fu's Thatched Cottage is in Liujiahe, Bahuai Village, Kegu, East Jiezi. It has beautiful mountains and green waters, dense orchards, fresh air, and is far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is also located in the Maiji Mountain Scenic Area and on the tourist highway, close to Tianshui's famous attractions Maiji Mountain, Xianren Cliff, Pure Land Temple, Shimen and Jieting Hot Spring. The Tianbao Expressway under construction also passes here. This is very beneficial to the creation of famous tourist attractions, attracting a large number of Chinese and foreign tourists for sightseeing, and the development of Tianshui's economy. It is necessary to give full play to the advantages of "Dongke Dufu Thatched Cottage" and enhance the extremely high taste and value contained in this cultural relic. Attracting tourists from all over the world and promoting the development of the local economy is a very meaningful undertaking.

Based on the above three reasons, I sincerely hope that the relevant leaders and departments will respect history, comply with the people's sentiments, seize opportunities, and make early decisions. I hope that the day when the "Tianshui Dongke Dufu Thatched Cottage" will have a new look and reappear in the Dongke River Valley will not be far away.
