He was tutored by his family when he was young, describing and imitating.
In 1986, he began to study calligraphy and seal cutting art with great concentration.
In 1987, he studied calligraphy and seal cutting under Mr. Pan Youquan, a famous local calligrapher;
Graduated from the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University (calligraphy major) in 1989;
In 1993, he studied calligraphy from the famous calligrapher Mr. Zhou Junjie (currently a director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, deputy director of the Academic Committee, and honorary chairman of the Henan Calligraphers Association), and began to engage in theoretical research and creation of calligraphy and seal cutting;
During this period, I sought advice from the famous calligrapher Wang Cheng, famous seal carvers Wei Jie and Zhang Tao. His calligraphy and seal-cutting works have been selected for many domestic and foreign calligraphy and seal-cutting exhibitions and won numerous awards. His calligraphy and seal-cutting works have been included in various calligraphy and seal-cutting collections.
In 1995, he founded "Zhenyuan Seal Society" and served as its president, compiling and printing "Zhongzhou Seal Garden".
Joined the Henan Calligraphers Association in 1997.
In 1999, he served as the vice chairman of Luyi Young Calligraphers Association.
In 2008, "Liu Xuemin Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Studio" was established.
In 2009, he was appointed as an academician by "Henan Dahua Painting and Calligraphy Academy".
In 2010, he was appointed as the executive vice president of the "Beijing Institute of Collection, Calligraphy and Painting".
In 2011, he was hired as a senior researcher by the "China International Modern Art Research Center".
In 2012, he was hired as the art director by "Henan New Fanglue Culture Media Co., Ltd."
In 2012, he was hired as a senior art consultant by Henan Science and Technology Newspaper "News Weekly".
In 2014, he was appointed as the "Honorary President" by the "China Gongyi Runcai Painting and Calligraphy Academy".
