"The 1983 CCTV Spring Festival Gala" is a large-scale variety show produced and broadcast by CCTV. It is also the first Spring Festival Gala of CCTV and a milestone in Chinese television programs. This year's Spring Festival Gala is directed by Huang Yihe and Deng Zaijun, and the four hosts are Wang Jingyu, Liu Xiaoqing, Ma Ji (late) and Jiang Kun. The party was broadcast live on CCTV at 20:00 on February 12, 1983 (December 30, Renxu year of the lunar calendar).
