Anti-Japanese War Memorial Wall The Anti-Japanese War Memorial Wall consists of six walls, including five large-scale relief walls of the Anti-Japanese War and a wall with handprints of the Anti-Japanese War soldiers. From low to high, the total extension is 220 meters. The large-scale relief sculptures of the Anti-Japanese War vividly reproduce the arduous process from the September 18th Incident in 1931 to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War in 1945. The relief is made of bronze, with a total area of ??500 square meters and nearly 50 tons of copper. It is the largest large-scale bronze relief in my country. The core of the Anti-Japanese War Memorial Wall - the handprint wall, the overall appearance design is a modern abstract geometric shape, using the form of intersecting plane main bodies, combining dynamic and static, 42 meters long and 5.2 meters high. The front pattern is composed of city bricks made of bronze. Each city brick is 60 cm long and 40 cm wide. Victory Monument The 37-meter-high Victory Monument symbolizes the full-scale outbreak of China’s Anti-Japanese War in 1937. Its overall shape means “forging swords into plowshares”, inspiring people that peace and development are irreversible historical trends in today’s world. The stele tower consists of two overlapping towers, a high one and a low one, symbolizing the confrontation between justice and evil. The high tower symbolizes the final victory of the just Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, while the low tower symbolizes the shameful defeat of the Japanese invaders with its inclined polygonal shape. The four bases of the Victory Monument form a broken flag of the Japanese invaders, which means that China’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression ended with the defeat of Japanese imperialism. 4. Water of Peace "Water of Peace" covers an area of ??2,800 square meters. The shape of the pool is an abstraction of the territory of China once occupied by Japanese invaders. On April 12, 2005, when the foundation stone of Peace Square was laid, the Beijing Juyongguan Great Wall Management Committee made a special trip to present 60 ancient Great Wall bricks collected from the private sector to our city. The ancient Great Wall bricks, which have gone through thousands of years of wind and rain, carry the legacy of history. The profound and national strength adds glory to our heroic city and makes the people of Hecheng proud. Therefore, this wall was specially built to commemorate it. 6. The two walls behind the relief wall with inscriptions by the generals of the Republic of China are engraved with the inscriptions of 62 generals of the Republic of China for Peace Square.
