Only once did I have a restless night on the eve of Brother Sha Kuangshi's death. On the third night, for some reason, I couldn't sleep because I was deep in thought. Thinking about it, I seem to be worried but have nothing to worry about. I am neither bored nor drinking tea. I am tossing and turning just like last time. Looking back, I don't know if it is a psychological reaction.
I met Jianxian in the early 1970s. I worked at the Hangzhou Painting and Calligraphy Society (Xiling Seal Society). I remember being introduced to him by Mr. Liu Zengfu. He brought a calligraphy work with him and asked me for advice. It was written by Shen Yinmo in running script, which is very beautiful. Since I started working, I have been communicating with friends through calligraphy. This is the first time for me to do so in a fashionable way. Jianxian is a Rooster, one year younger than me, but he learned to calligraphy very early. As early as the early 1960s, he attended a calligraphy training class at the Shanghai Children's Palace. He was a classmate of Zhou Huijun and Shen Yinmo's student. I was admitted to Zhejiang University in 1964. I have a bachelor's degree in calligraphy from the Department of Chinese Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts, so I have formal training many years ago, and I am very high-spirited and have already started my career for many years. Later, with the establishment of the magazine "Calligraphy", Jianxian was one of its editors, and later edited and published "Collection of Sha Menghai's Calligraphy Works", "Collection of Sha Menghai's Zhenxingcao Calligraphy" and "Sha Menghai's Calligraphy Series", " "Sha Menghai's Essays on Letters", Jianxian was the editor in charge of the first two episodes (Dai Xiaojing and Fang Chuanxin were the editors of the last two episodes). I came and went between Shanghai and Hangzhou, and the contacts became more frequent, and the understanding became deeper and deeper. Jianxian's behavior as a man, his integrity, outspokenness, straightforwardness and innocence are purely literati style. Although some untimely generosity and loyalty, coupled with his good drinking skills, give people a "celebrity style", he is very generous at heart. of. It is this kind of "celebrity style" that, because it is not secretive and easy-going, puts people at a distance, and ultimately hinders communication. However, because it is noble and arrogant, it saves a lot of worry and reduces a lot of virtual entertainment. Win time and freedom, be honest and independent. Especially after retiring early, living on the wing, in embarrassment, no longer "scenery", it is precisely because of the word "generous" that we rely on the word "generous" to be neither calm nor demanding, neither arrogant nor humble, aloof and leisurely, living in seclusion and simplicity, and safe. On the table, I am happy on the calligraphy, focusing on practicing the form, Qi and spirit of calligraphy; I put my love in art, seeking truth, goodness and beauty. In the future, he will be successful, stand out, his personality has been revealed, his brushwork has become more exquisite, and his realm is waiting to be sublimated. Jianxian's calligraphy is both straight and strict. He was influenced by the Shanghai custom in his early days. He started from the two kings and focused on Tang Kai. He was most effective in Ou and Chu. Ou Gu and Chu Qi were his boy's skills. Later, Xu Hao was consulted to supplement the body posture and comprehensively applied it to deepen the Samadhi of the Tang Dynasty. His cursive writing is majestic and majestic. He first learned from Shen Yinmo, later imitated Wang Juesi, and later followed Mi Yuanzhang, and he has a deep understanding of his "brush strokes". In the 1970s, I kept in mind my late master Sha Menghai and admired his majestic and majestic style with his pen holding the wind and thunder, so I learned what he had learned, and then moved on to Huang Daozhou and Ni Yuanlu, and then joined Wu Changshuo's seal script. Finally, he understood his own brushwork, and gradually Open up new territory. Jianxian is able to work hard, and Gongfang is all-powerful. The true book of Gongneng includes small regular script, and Fangneng is able to move wildly and have the potential to be full of feet. I have seen him swaying in public, twisting and turning, tossing and falling, writing as fast as flying, calm and happy . The main calligraphy of Mu Qi is particularly thin, clear, strong and elegant. It contains movement in its tranquility and unevenness in the plain, which is another technique. The ancients said that skill can be seen in formal writing, and talent can be seen in cursive writing. It is also said that the true hero is the one who is as quiet as a virgin and escapes from movement. There are only a few calligraphers in the world who can support each other.

As for the respect for Taoism and respect for learning in the way of a teacher, we can also see his obedience in life.
Jianxian has been a teacher of Shu for many years, and he has been responsible for editing two collections of essays and manuscripts. However, Mr. Sha is old, strict in teaching, and has a strict style that is almost old-fashioned. His compilation and publication of life events are even more serious. There is no room for sloppiness, plus I am impatient and deaf, and the phone is inconvenient. Whenever I have an idea, I ask immediately. When I ask about anything, I immediately wait for a response. Jianxian always takes the trouble to answer promptly. There is a slight delay. Sometimes the phone is inconvenient. , the letter was not exhaustive, that is, he came to Hangzhou on horseback, asked questions in person, was never superficial, and held the disciple's etiquette, being respectful and respectful, and then inquired. The attendant is like ringing a bell. If you don't knock, it won't ring. If you knock more, it will ring more. If you knock harder, it will ring louder. The late teacher liked his diligence and his good questioning, whether it was calligraphy, seal cutting, text archeology, internal or external work, or even his official career, teachers and friends, including teachers Wu Changshuo and Feng Junmu, classmates Zhu Fukian, Wang Geyi and other anecdotes. As he went deeper, he asked questions and answered them without getting tired of asking questions. When he talked about happy things, he was as brilliant as an old man talking about ancient things in leisure, and his leisurely and carefree style was almost unusual. Mr. Sha's trust and care are also reflected in it!

It’s the fundamental nature of Jian Xian’s enlightenment, and I also understand it. Responding naturally to the same voice, people of the same kind are bound to follow the same path. They are just classmates when they are young, and they are active in book business. They meet each other day and night. Although they do not think about cutting off the lamp by the west window, they still sleep in the bed in the rain at night. After drinking and tea, it is common to go out at night with a candle. .
Although I, the leader of the Sha family, are the most advanced and the most powerful, Jianxian still treats each other as brothers. However, I hope that his moral articles will only be respected as a teacher, sincere in passing on, and respectful. To put it mildly, it turns out that he came from behind and was ashamed to think about it in his spare time.
Looking at each other and smiling just like yesterday, the sadness of crossing our arms has been lost now. How can one not feel sorry for someone who is deceived by God's will?
