Wangjiangta Park is located in a bamboo forest on the south bank of Jinjiang River outside the East Gate of Chengdu. There are ancient buildings of Wangjianglou, Xue Tao Memorial Hall, a famous poetess in the Tang Dynasty, and various exotic bamboos for sightseeing. Xue Tao loved bamboo all his life and praised it as "modest and self-sustaining" and "vigorous and wonderful". In order to commemorate Xue Tao, later generations planted all kinds of excellent bamboos in the garden, and collected more than 200 kinds of bamboos at home and abroad, including many rare things, which were called "Bamboo Garden".
The main buildings in the park are Chongli Building (Wangjiang Building), Jinzhuo Building, Huanjian Pavilion, Wuyunxian Pavilion, Liu Beichi, Quan Xiangxie, etc. They were built successively in Ming and Qing Dynasties to commemorate Xue Tao, a poetess in the Tang Dynasty, but in modern times they have become parks.
Chongli Tower, commonly known as "Wangjiang Tower", is the main building in the park, with a height of 39 meters and a building of * * *, which was built in the fifteenth year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty. Its name comes from the word "both beautiful and respectful, whose real name is Chengdu" in Zuo Si's Shu Du Fu. Because it stands on the bank of Jinjiang River, it is called "Wangjiang Tower" by the people, and there are satellites upstairs.
Jin Pagoda is located on the west side of Chongli Pagoda. It has two floors and three rooms and looks like a ship. Because the brocade workers in Chengdu in Han Dynasty often put the woven brocade into Jinjiang for washing, Jinjiang is also called Jinta, hence the name. The building shows mahogany furniture and ancient building components in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Yinshilou, located in the east of Chongli Tower, was built on the basis of Yinshilou built in Xue Tao's later years. The three-story building with an open porch all around is set in the bamboo shadow of Liu Yin on the riverside, which is quite poetic.
There are poems by Xue Tao in Wuyunxian Pavilion, which are carved on wooden boards and written by famous calligraphers in various fonts. Huanjian Pavilion is a tortuous building with unique and exquisite shape. The museum displays the paper-making technology and note-taking art of the Tang Dynasty. The wooden lattice window in Wanqing Room is simple and simple, displaying the portrait of Xue Tao in Guiyang in Qing Dynasty, as well as the inscriptions of scholars chanting Wangjianglou and Xue Tao in Qing Dynasty.
Xue Tao Memorial Hall shows Xue Tao's life experience, poetry art and other related historical materials. The statue of Xue Tao is located next to the memorial hall and deep in the Yuezhu Garden. It is 3 meters high and carved from white marble. In addition, there is Xue Tao's tomb in the park, and the words "Xue Hongdu's Tomb of Tang Girls' School" are engraved on the tombstone.
