Writing of Chinese characters

Chinese characters are written like this: generally speaking, the order of writing can be divided into five types: top-down, left-right, right-left, outside-in, and middle-first.

1, from top to bottom: Vertical characters are generally written from top to bottom (such as love and summer).

2. From left to right: The common arrangement order of horizontally expanded words is from left to right (such as gate, and).

3. From right to left: usually used when the radical on the left is thin or surrounded by components on the right (such as distance and force).

4, from the outside to the inside: write the outer border first, you can control the size of the whole word (such as cause, wind).

5. Write the middle first: for words with strong symmetry or similar shapes on the left and right, usually write the middle first to determine the center of the word (such as water and change).

In calligraphy, in order to stress fluency and beauty, there will be different writing styles from the standard stroke order, such as emotion, fate, fire, importance, success, feeling, skin and shallowness. It should be reminded that it is particularly important to master the correct stroke order of Chinese characters before pursuing the beauty of words and the feel of writing.

For primary school students, learning hard-pen calligraphy from an early age is the basis for writing good words. Starting from literacy, it is relatively easier to write well according to the correct methods taught by professional teachers.

If you go to junior high school, it will be more difficult to get rid of incorrect writing habits. Coupled with heavy schoolwork, writing is often "delayed". Therefore, primary school is the golden age to establish good writing norms.
