Linchi Wang Xueshu right army, Cheng Huai road Zongshaowen.
A prince can carry a tripod with his pen. There has been no such monarch for 500 years.
Author: Ni Zan in Yuan Dynasty (the most influential painter in Yuan Dynasty, an authority in painting). Wang Shuming refers to Wang Meng (a painter in Yuan Dynasty), and Huang, Wang Meng, Ni Zan and Zhenwu are collectively called top painters in Yuan Dynasty.
This poem is a contrast between Wang Xizhi (needless to say) and Zong Shaowen (Zong Bing, a painter in the Southern Dynasties and the Song Dynasty, likes to travel around and paint landscapes on the walls all his life), suggesting that Wang Meng's accomplishments in painting and calligraphy can be compared with them. Ni Zan grasped Wang Meng's vigorous brushwork (which can lift the tripod) and spoke highly of it.
