Zhu Yuanzhang's calligraphy is natural and fluent, with vivid manners. Fengshen is unique, and Tao Zongyi called Zhu Yuanzhang's calligraphy "divine and natural, tacit calligraphy" in Book History Meeting. Kang Youwei's "Twenty-fifth edition of Guangyizhou Double Series Running Grass" commented: "Ming Taizu's book is strong and invincible".
