Like most villages in Ningbo, Yujiao Village is a merger of several villages. Fortunately, the merged village at least retained the name of the ancient village "Jiao Jiao", and did not completely put on the new vest like some ancient villages, which made people unrecognizable.
There is another legend about the name "Jiao Jiao": A long time ago, there was a clear pond in the village where a dragon lived. In order to keep it, the villagers tried their best to keep the water clean and never went to the pond to wash things. Then a young man married a foreign daughter-in-law. Because she was shy, she didn't dare to wash clothes elsewhere, so she came to this pond to wash before dawn. As a result, she surprised Xiaolong and Xiaolong never came back. People believed in Jiaolong, so they changed this village to "Jiaolong Village", which was later called "Jiao Jiao Village".
As we all know, this legend must be false. It's just the villagers' beautification and blessing to their residence, because there is no such species as "dragon" in the world. But in any case, the mirage village has a historical origin, and this legend makes people imagine the origin of this village.
The scenery of the merged Sanjiao Village is mainly concentrated in the two natural villages of Sanjiao and Wenjiang Bank. The styles of the two scenic spots are very different and there is a distance. Wenjiang 'an Village is the settlement of Wen clan people, named after being on the riverside. Wenjiang 'an Village was founded in the Southern Song Dynasty with a long history, and a large number of ancient buildings are preserved in the village.
Wenjiang 'an village lives by the river, separated by a wide farmland. There is a village road between the hut and the river, and a big old tree grows on the east side of the river. The scenery on the shore is very similar to Limin Village near Dongqian Lake. The difference is that the net mangrove of Limin is a pear tree for more than 60 years, and the ancient tree here is a Shuang Ye tree for one or two hundred years.
Compared with Wenjiang 'an Village, the scenery of Sanjiao Village is much richer. The almost straight Jiaochuan River runs through the middle of the village. From east to west, there are four stone bridges across the river, namely Tan Yong Bridge, Jiaochuan Bridge, Jilian Bridge and Ji Jiao Tongqiao. More interestingly, there is a pavilion on each of the four stone bridges, namely Xinjian Pavilion, Huisi Pavilion, Huaguang Pavilion and Jinyuan Pavilion from east to west. They line up and become the unique landscape of Jiaochuan River.
Except Jiaochuan Bridge, the other three bridges are ancient bridges with vicissitudes of life. Yi Yun Bridge was built in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. Jilian Bridge was built in the last years of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty and the early years of Qianlong. It was rebuilt in Xianfeng eight years and completely rebuilt in the 20th year of the Republic of China. The traffic bridge was just built in Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty and rebuilt in 20 years of the Republic of China. They were all important traffic arteries of ancient forests at that time and played an important historical role.
There is a Jiaolong Temple on the north bank of Jiaochuan River between Yu 'an Bridge and Jilian Bridge. Green trees and bamboos set off Buddhist temples and Jiaochuan River reflected temples. Although accompanied by high mountains, Jiaolong Temple has a lofty feeling. During the epidemic, all the big monasteries in Ningbo closed their doors to thank guests, and few people walked around here, making the monasteries extraordinarily quiet.
Not far from the west of Longchan Temple, there is a mirage, which is probably the place where the legendary dragons haunt. The area is not large. There are several rockeries in the center of the pool and a statue of a dragon stands. Next to it is an old house in the Qing Dynasty. Because there is a hidden wall made of bricks and stones in front of the hospital, it is named Shadow Gate. Yinqiangmen is a famous Xueba Courtyard, from which several famous scholars have successively walked out. The poem "Ode to the Gate of the Silver Wall" engraved on the stone tablet at the gate of the Silver Wall is relished by many people: three people won the second place, ten people paid tribute, and ten people worshipped Shi Hong. Fourteen scholars and five scholars make up seventy celebrities.
In addition to the above scenery, there are ancient buildings such as Juecheng's former residence, Guihua Hall, Zengdamen, Bali Wall Gate, Tang Fang in 1989, Xiaqiaotou, and old streets and alleys selling firewood. The history of Huangjiao Village can even be traced back to the Neolithic Age, which can be said to be the earliest ancient village in Haishu and even Ningbo.
I have to say that although Sanjiao Village has many historical sites and natural scenery, the pollution is too serious. Jiaochuan River and several nearby rivers, as well as other rivers in Gu Lin Town, are mostly muddy. The water quality here is the most polluted among the places I have been in recent years. If the local government can manage the water quality well, I believe this village will become more beautiful and more attractive to tourists.
