That calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty had the most gorgeous handwriting.

Chu Suiliang.

Chu suiliang (596-659) was a famous calligrapher in the Tang dynasty. His calligraphy was a beginner in Yu Shinan, but in his later years, he adopted Zhong You and Wang Xizhi, merged with han li, and became a family of his own. Together with Ou Yangxun, Yu Shinan and Xue Ji, they are called the four great calligraphers in the early Tang Dynasty. According to legend, after Yu Shinan's death, Emperor Taizong sighed that no one could discuss books. Wei Zhi praised: "Chu Suiliang's hard work won Wang Yi's reputation." Wei Zhi believes that he has a profound understanding of Wang Zi and has the ability to identify the authenticity of Wang Zi. His handed down books include the regular script Monument to Master Meng, Preface to the Holy Teaching of Wild Goose Pagoda, and Yique Buddhist Shrine.

Chu Suiliang's calligraphy is a beginner in Yu Shinan, but in his later years he adopted Zhong You and Wang Xizhi, and merged with han li. It is rich, colorful and varied, forming his own family. Together with Ou Yangxun, Yu Shinan and Xue Ji, they are called the four great calligraphers in the early Tang Dynasty. According to legend, after Yu Shinan's death, Emperor Taizong sighed that no one could discuss books. Wei Zhi praised: "Chu Suiliang's hard work won Wang Yi's reputation." His calligraphy studies are Wang Xizhi and Yu Shinan. The Book Review of the Tang Dynasty said that his words were: "The words are golden, the lines are jade, the rules are Wen Ya, and the beauty is many." His Preface to the Wild Goose Pagoda has its own method. In this monument, he integrated Yu, Europe and France, both of which were natural. From the point of view of charm, it is catching up with Wang Yishao, but with a pen and a knot, it is the Chu method that is round and thin.

His calligraphy is not only "quaint and unique, thin and hard", but also has a pair of exquisite and magical eyes for calligraphy appreciation. In the 12th year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty, due to the unfortunate death of Yu Shinan, a famous calligrapher, he summoned Chu Suiliang and appointed him as a book assistant.

? There are more than ten pieces of calligraphy handed down by Chu Suiliang, most of which are inscriptions. "Master Meng's Monument" is full of literary meaning, with a round pen, and its style is close to that of Europe and Europe, so it is not formal to use a pen to write words. Those who are outstanding should push the Preface Monument to the Wild Goose Pagoda and the Yinfu Sutra with Big Characters. The former is Chu Suiliang's masterpiece, with thin font, precise words, and running script. It is gorgeous and graceful, and people call it a masterpiece. Yin Fu Jing in Big Characters is an ink-stained paper book, which was handed down as a work in his later years. The brushwork is strong, the meaning is ancient and light, and it is calm and happy. Although it is suspected of forgery, its artistic achievements are obvious enough to be taken seriously. The ink on other inscriptions is also enough to learn, but you must know the choice and take its essence.
