First, Wang Xizhi's Preface to Lanting
1. On the third day of March in the 9th year of Yonghe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (353), great calligraphers Wang Xizhi, Xie An, Sun Tong, Sun Chuo and other scholars, relatives and friends gathered at the bank of Yinshan Lanting in Huiji, Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province for a "music performance". The third day of the third lunar month is the traditional Shangsi Festival. On this day, people bathe in the spring breeze and go to the water to play, so as to get rid of bad luck and ominous.
2. It is called "repair". Wang Xizhi and others sat in a row by the stream. The extremely bookish put the feathers (music merchants, ear cups for drinking) full of wine on the water, let them float to the front of everyone, drink and compose poems according to this, and "talk about bosom friends" from song to song. Thirty-seven poems by Benya were compiled as Preface Poems of Lanting Collection.
3. When Wang Xizhi was full of wine and full of energy, he used cocoon paper and moustache as a preface to this collection of poems, and wrote the preface to Lanting Collection, the "best running script in the world" that has been dumped by people without math books for thousands of years. This preface records the author's happy mood in this poetic feast, and also expresses his feelings about the shortness of life and the impermanence of life and death.
Second, Yan Zhenqing's "Sacrificing Nephew Manuscripts"
1. This manuscript describes how Yan Gao Qing and his son stood up and opposed it loyally during the Anshi Rebellion, so that "when the father was trapped, the nest turned upside down" brought justice into his heart. Ji Ming is Gao Qing's third son and Zhen Qing's nephew.
2. When his father and Zhenqing * * * crusaded against the Anshi Rebellion, he traveled back and forth between Changshan and Pingyuan, delivering news and linking the two counties, and * * * was loyal to the royal family. Later, Changshan County fell and Ji Ming was killed, leaving only his head when he was buried. When Yan Zhenqing was writing, he was filled with grief and indignation. He couldn't help writing this manuscript in one go.
Third, Su Shi's Huangzhou Cold Food Post
1, this is a poem to send happiness, and it is a life sigh made by Su Shi at the Cold Food Festival in the third year of his relegation to Huangzhou. The poem is desolate and affectionate, expressing Su Shi's melancholy and lonely mood at this time. The calligraphy of this poem is produced in this mood and situation. The whole calligraphy is full of ups and downs, radiant and unrestrained, and there is no shortage of pens.
2. Huangzhou Cold Food Poetry Post has a great influence in the history of calligraphy. Known as the "third running script in the world", it is also the best in Su Shi's calligraphy works. As Huang Tingjian wrote after this poem: "This book was written by Yan, Yang and Li Xitai. If you want to restore Dongpo, it may not be the case."
