Using the characteristic that the strokes of seal script can bend and rotate, the space is skillfully distributed through the twists and turns of the strokes, and the head, tail and fish insects of birds are dotted in the space, which increases the pictographic nature. In the sparse space, the unique bird-shaped space is used to adjust the space and enrich the interest. On the surface, the font is complex and the strokes turn around. For example, after the spring rain, birds are noisy and beautiful, but the handwriting is very strict. Because its glyph belongs to Xiao Zhuan, it is easy to create long works. It is not too difficult for people who have the foundation of seal script to recognize it.
2. It is unique to use rectangular font as seal.
The characters of seal script are generally long, from Oracle Bone Inscriptions and Jinwen to Xiao seal script in Qin Dynasty, bird and insect seal script are generally long. Modern Lu seal script is written in a flat shape, which is praised as a modern "flat" style by Sha Menghai. The rectangular flower, bird and insect prints made by Mr. Ming Jun originated from seal cutting. In China and India, the characters of bird and insect seal script are mostly long or square, but many of them are flat in China and India. Seal script is long and flat, and the arrangement of lines has its own characteristics. Mr. Ming Jun's seal of flowers, birds and insects is characterized by its horizontal posture and flat font, which is conducive to the stretching of horizontal lines. The overlapping of horizontal lines tends to be compact and dense, which weakens the vertical lines that are difficult to handle. Combined with flat fonts, the text is dense and well-organized, and it still appears dense and well-organized when there are many words.
The images of birds and insects are vivid and interesting.
Mr. Ming Jun carefully designed a group of images of birds and insects, which implied various forms of changes under strict rules. For example, the bird's head has a long beak, a small head, a curved neck and an elegant and stretched shape. It can also be shaped into the shape of a round head and a short beak in a place where space is tight, and it can also be occasionally shaped into the shape of a phoenix bird or an heron in a bird's headdress to increase the aesthetics. When the bulls gather, make appropriate adjustments, or reduce the number of bird heads, or change the direction, or adjust the size, so that they can be separated from each other. It simplifies the bird's tail and emphasizes the echo relationship with the bird's head. In the long line of bending and hovering, feathers and tails are properly decorated, which is quite like tangled flowers and plants in decorative paintings.
Some specific glyphs are ingeniously designed.
For example, the word "heart" is shaped like a dragon play above, and the strokes below are correspondingly shaped like clouds and qi; At the bottom of the word "heart", there are three birds floating in the water. Two birds move forward in parallel and one bird looks back. In this vivid modeling, the glyph is abstracted, and it is no longer possible to refer to a stroke, but the "heart" glyph god seems to be in it.
There are many strokes of the word "Hui", so it is unique to adjust the following structure to the left and right.
In the middle of the plum on the right side of the word "sea", two birds are introduced to make a circuitous shape and a symmetrical structure. The heads of the two birds leaned forward and echoed, making the finishing point.
Mr. Ming Jun's seal of flowers, birds and insects also benefited from his profound pen and ink skills. The pen reached his hand, tepid, and sent and received at will. Round but not flattering, flowing but not vulgar, elegant. Mr. Tong Yanfang praised it as "plump and rich", and his words were true. Mr. Ming Jun's flower-and-bird-and-insect seal script focuses on Qin and Han Dynasties, based on the shape of Xiao seal script, and his strokes are decorated with flowers, birds and insects.
