Judo is one of Japan’s national skills. It was a set of sports developed by Jigoro Kano in 1882 after he modified the ancient Japanese martial arts jujitsu.
Judo can be roughly divided into "standing techniques" and "sleeping techniques".
Standing skills are divided into throwing skills and body-sacrifice skills, while throwing skills are further divided into hand skills, waist skills and foot skills. The body-sacrifice technique is divided into true body-sacrifice technique and horizontal body-sacrifice technique.
The sleeping technique is divided into three major techniques: solid technique, twisting technique, and joint technique, which are the actions of subduing the opponent on the ground after falling, such as solid technique: cassock solid, upper four-square solid. Clinching technique: Naked choke. Joint techniques: wrist flexion, cross fixation, etc.
General Choi Hong-hee, the founder of Taekwondo, is one of the founders of the Korean army, a contemporary calligrapher, and a patriotic democrat who opposes the authoritarian government.
The characteristics of Taekwondo are that the legs are used as the main body and the hands and feet are used together. The method is concise, upright and hard, emphasizing momentum and expressing power.
Taekwondo theory believes that after specialized training, human joints can produce incredible power, especially the four parts of the fist, elbow, knee and foot, especially the feet and hands. Long-term dedicated practice of Taekwondo can enable people to achieve the level of internal and external unity, that is, the peak of the unity of internal strength and external strength. Since it is impossible to determine the power and potential of weaponizing human body joints, the practitioner's skill level can only be measured and verified by hitting wooden boards, bricks and other objects. Skill test is an important part of Taekwondo training level, promotion examination, performance and competition, in order to show the unique skills and characteristics of Taekwondo.
Currently, Taekwondo organizations around the world are mainly divided into two systems: ITF system and WTF system. Because the ITF preserves the essence of traditional Taekwondo, unlike the WTF system (that is, the World Taekwondo adopted by the Olympic Games), which abandons the use of hands, if a crisis occurs in the real environment, it can have an absolute advantage in deciphering the opponent's attacks, unlike the WTF system. The system only knows legwork! In fact, the biggest flaw of Taekwondo in the Olympic Games is the restriction of hand movements. It seems that it is more appropriate to call it "Taekwondo"
