"A yard full of spring rain and a shelf full of autumn wind and flat tofu pudding" was originally a couplet written by Zheng Banqiao, describing his own vegetable garden. Zheng Banqiao is not only a poet, a master of calligraphy and a painter, but also has a keen interest in rural life.
This couplet expresses Zheng Banqiao's concern about rural life in plain spoken language. Although you don't use high-end elegant words, it is still very attractive to read. In ancient times, scholars longed for the establishment of political achievements, and also longed for a "no-paperwork" leisure life, expecting to enjoy the fun brought by nature while planting a variety of side dishes and flowers. A particularly classic phrase "A full frame of autumn wind and flat tofu" makes people seem to see a beautiful picture, indicating that Zheng Banqiao has reached an extraordinary level.
Later, Wang Zengqi created this pair of couplets in 1984, and even quoted this pair of couplets from Wang Zengqi's novels, and added a sentence at the back: "Hello Wang!" Among them, Wang is a soft-hearted rural doctor, which shows that Wang Zengqi is also a soft-hearted writer.
