Jinci

Jinci Temple, located 25 kilometers southwest of Taiyuan, is one of the national key cultural relics protection units. Founded in the Northern Wei Dynasty, it was once the ancestral hall of Yuji, the second son of West Zhou Wuwang and the founding monarch of Jin State.

Jinci Temple includes dozens of classical garden-style buildings with elegant and comfortable environment and beautiful scenery. The landscape layout can be divided into three parts: the middle part, entering the gate of Jinci, starting from the water mirror platform, passing through Huixian Bridge, Jinrentai, Yue Yue Square, Bell and Drum Tower, Fairy Hall, Fish Pond Flying Beam and Notre Dame Cathedral, is the main body of Jinci; In the north, starting from Wenchang Palace, this group of buildings has ups and downs and high artistic value through Dongyue Temple, Guandi Temple, Sanqing Cave, Tang Shuyu Temple, Chaoyang Cave, Daifengxuan, Santai Pavilion, Reading Desk and Lvzu Pavilion. It starts from Yingsheng Building in the south, passes through Baihe Pavilion, Sanshen Temple, Zhenqu Pavilion, Difficult Old Pavilion and Jellyfish Building, and reaches Gongbozi Temple.

There are also statues of Nanhe girls in the shrine, which are called the three wonders of Jinci. Among them, 43 maid statues have high artistic value because of their different costumes and shapes. Jinci Temple is also a holy place for "Wang" and "Zhang" to seek roots and worship their ancestors at home and abroad.

Changshi manor

Changjia Manor, located in Yuci District, Jinzhong City, southeast of Taiyuan City, is a private manor of Changshi family, a Shanxi businessman in Qing Dynasty. The tall castle gate is named Guo Yuanshi from west to east. There is a high wall and deep courtyard river outside the gate, and a white stone arch bridge stands at the gate. Opposite Baomen is an east-west stone street, and all the restored houses are lined up in the north of the street. Corresponding to the house, there are more than 100 acres of north-south style gardens-"Jingyuan". There are pavilions, apricot gardens and mulberry gardens in the garden. The lake freezes in winter, and apricot trees are fragrant in spring.

During the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty, the Chang family moved from Huian in Taigu to Chelan in Yuci. Tianlongshan Grottoes

On the mountainside of Tianlong Mountain, 40 kilometers southwest of Taiyuan City, there are 24 caves excavated in the Eastern Wei Dynasty, including works of the Eastern Wei Dynasty, Northern Qi Dynasty, Sui Dynasty, Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties. Among them, the Tang Grottoes in the ninth cave "Manshan Pavilion" are the most in Tianlong Mountain Grottoes, with well-preserved statues of Sakyamuni Buddha, harmonious proportion and dignified appearance, which embodies the exquisite carving skills of ancient craftsmen in China.

As Tianlong Mountain and Jinci Temple are both in the southwest of Taiyuan City, and there is a newly-built expressway connecting them, you can take these two places as a tourist route.

Shuangta Temple (Shuangta Temple)

It can be said that it is a landmark building in Taiyuan, located in the south of Haozhuang Village in the southeast of Taiyuan. Built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, also known as the Twin Pagodas Temple, "Mo" means to seek the blessing of the gods.

The temple faces north and consists of three parts: front yard, back yard and tower yard. The famous twin towers are in the courtyard of the towers. Both towers are masonry structures with *** 13 floors and a height of more than 50 meters. They were built with the support of Buddhist lanterns in the Ming Dynasty. The two towers are 60 meters apart, beautifully carved and clearly defined. There is a spiral staircase between the outer wall and the inner wall of the tower, which can directly reach 1 1 floor. Every flower season, the yard is full of colorful flowers and fragrant flowers. Passing through the moon gate of the east wing next to the courtyard is the stele gallery, which displays the calligraphy inscriptions of famous calligraphers such as Wang Xizhi, Zhang Xu, Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan and Su Dongpo, and is an excellent place to appreciate China's calligraphy art.

The shopping centers in Taiyuan are mainly distributed in Yingze East Street, Wuyi Road, Jiefang South Road, Jianshe South Road and Kaihuasi Street, including the historic Wuyi Department Store and Tianlong Building. There are also emerging Huayu Shopping Center, Royal Garden Commercial Building and Guidu Department Store. If you want to see the folk customs of Taiyuan, you can go to Liuxiang Commodity Street, Zhonglou Street and Liunan Night Market. This is the most popular area in Taiyuan, especially Liuxiang and Qiaotou Street, which are often crowded every holiday.

Taiyuan's native products are most famous for Fenjiu and Zhuyeqing. Besides, Jishan Banzao, Pinglu Lily, Zhou Pu Green Persimmon, Yuanqu Kiwifruit, Qingxu Grape, Shangdang "Dangshen", Wenshan Duanmu inkstone, Gaoping Silk, Pingyang Woodboard New Year Pictures and Tuiguang Lacquerware are all famous products.
