According to the inscription, when Xian Yuhuang was a child, he was smart and studious, filial to his parents, respected his teachers, and behaved well. When he was young, he was promoted as Xiaolian by the local government and later promoted to doctor. In the first year of Yongchu of the Eastern Han Dynasty (107), Xian Yuhuang was appointed as the prefect of Yanmen. During his reign, Xianyu Huang was strict with himself, diligent and honest in government, paid attention to education, and treated the Xiongnu with equal kindness and power, which made the borders peaceful and the people able to live and work in peace and contentment. Later, he became old and resigned due to illness, and finally died in the fourth year of Yanguang (125) of the Eastern Han Dynasty.
What is the full name of the Xianyuhuang Stele:
The "Xianyuhuang Stele" is a stele inscribed in November of the eighth year of Yanxi (165) in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The full name is "Han Therefore, the Yanmen Prefect Xian Yujun Monument" has no name of the author. It is a work of official calligraphy and is now in the Tianjin Museum.
