Male, 1937 was born in jiaozhou city, Shandong province, and he liked calligraphy since childhood. He copied the inscriptions of ancient sages such as Ou, Yan, Liu and Zhao, especially good at calligraphy, cursing and obeying the law, and determined to explore new calligraphy styles. Since the 1950s, the hard-pen calligraphy "Knife Calligraphy" has been created, which combines rigidity with softness and has a unique charm. It is rare in China and a must in Jiaozhou.
