Dezhou is located between 36 24'-38 0' north latitude and115 45'-117 24' east longitude, on the north bank of the lower reaches of the Yellow River and in the northwest of Shandong Province. It borders Beijing and Tianjin in the north, Jinan, the provincial capital in the south, Shanxi coal base in the west, Shengli Oilfield and Jiaodong Peninsula in the east. It is located in the junction of North China and East China, Bohai Economic Circle, Yellow River Delta and Dajingjiu Economic Development Zone, and has both coastal and inland advantages.
