After the founding of New China, he was transferred to Zhongyuan University in 1951. In 1953, the departments were restructured, and the School of Education of Chung Yuan University, Hubei Institute of Education, Huazhong University and other schools were merged and renamed Central China Higher Normal University (now Central China Normal University). After graduation, he stayed at the school and served successively as secretary of the General Affairs Office, deputy section chief of the Academic Affairs Section of the Academic Affairs Office, and librarian in China Normal University until he was transferred to the "May 7th" Cadre School in Hubei Province in 1969. In 1971, he was transferred to No. 1 Ye No. 2 Middle School as a teacher. In 1981, he was transferred to Wuhan Finance College as a full-time calligraphy teacher. He also served as a visiting professor at Hubei Academy of Fine Arts, teaching calligraphy and seal cutting in the Chinese painting major. In 1985, he was appointed as an associate professor at Wuhan College of Finance (now Hubei University of Economics). Retired in 1989. In 1984, the Hubei Provincial Calligraphers Association was established, and he successively served as director, executive director, and consultant. In the same year, he founded the first professional calligraphy newspaper in the country, "Calligraphy News", and has been on the editorial board for a long time (now he is the consultant of "Calligraphy News"). In 1985, he held the first calligraphy training class in Hubei Province, and the following year held a training class for calligraphy teachers in Hubei Province, both of whom served as class teachers. In November 1985, he was appointed as a special librarian of the Literature and History Research Center of the Hubei Provincial People's Government. In 1987, he founded Wuhan Calligraphy Art College and served as vice president. In December 1990, he was appointed as a librarian of the Literature and History Research Center of the Hubei Provincial People's Government. In 1994, he served as the president of Donghu Seal Society until now.
