Although King Gongmin was not a competent monarch, he was a representative painter at the end of the Goryeo Dynasty. He was good at painting and calligraphy and created many works. Among them, self-portrait and Princess Lu were recorded in the literature. (King Gongmin’s Queen) Portrait and other figure paintings, landscape paintings, animal paintings, etc. Two fragments of the famous "Tianshan Hunting Picture" are said to have been painted by him. These are small colorful paintings painted on silk. Although they are extremely damaged, the delicate and vivid images and superb artistry can still be seen. The Tomb of King Gongmin was carefully conceived by this elegant king who was good at painting during his lifetime, and he personally visited the site to supervise the people's construction.
