The first edition is 1955 February Beijing 1 edition, 73 years 165438+1October Liaoning16 brush, * * three volumes. The cover is light green, simple and elegant, and the title is inscribed by the famous calligrapher Shen. This title is still used in the second and third editions (this edition is also used by The Journey to the West in several editions of Shanghai ancient books).
2. The second edition was revised and published in May, 1980. I have two kinds at hand: the yellow edition and the green edition, both of which are three volumes.
The yellow edition is the second edition of the brush, and there are woodcut illustrations by Gu Gan on the cover and in front of the book, which are vivid and vivid, but the number is too small. The yellow edition is printed in Beijing, Shanghai, Xinjiang, Hubei and other places. There is little difference in the quality of text printing, and the quality of illustrations is uneven. As shown below, the left is printed in Shanghai, with dark ink and clear picture, and the background color of the picture is yellow, which is relatively simple and restored. The picture on the right is printed in Xinjiang, with light ink color, poor image quality, white background color and distortion.
The green edition is the second edition of the two brushes, and the illustrations are replaced by some color pictures drawn by Li Shaowen. The background is mostly brown and antique, and the characters are freehand and impressive.
The cover color of the first and second volumes of the third edition is blue, and the classical Xiu Xiang of the cover text is the same as that of the green cover version of the second edition, and the cover typesetting is also roughly the same.
3. Journey to the West, People's Literature Publishing House, Third Edition
The preface mainly introduces the romantic features, writing process, artistic achievements, positive significance and limitations of this book. The preface of the Yellow Book and the second edition of the Green Book is also slightly different. The preface of the Yellow Book is roughly the same as that of the first edition, with a slight increase or decrease. The preface of the green edition is closer to the third edition. It is worth mentioning that the yellow edition mistyped Zhu Houzhao of Ming Wuzong as Zhu.
Sejong Zhu Houzong in Ming Dynasty was wrongly written as Zhu Xiaoyu. Generally speaking, the preface of the third edition is only a little embellishment, while the latter edition reduces and weakens some characteristics of the times, and there are few obvious words such as "adopting the scientific attitude of Marxist revolution"
The Journey to the West, the third edition of People's Literature Publishing House, still retains some inappropriate places in the old edition, but also adds many mistakes. The style of error correction rules is not unified, and there are many schools of one word (word). For example, the original version of Zhong Nanshan was corrected to "Zhong Nanshan" and "Zhong Nanshan", but most regrettably, some low-level mistakes were made.
Even the changes to Mr. Li's collation results are debatable and even corrected as mistakes. For example, in the forty-ninth edition, the words "Mutu" in the first and second editions were changed to "Jiang Mumu" (see "Changing Mutu to" Jiang Mumu ",People's Literature Publishing House did make mistakes in proofreading this time", with a link). Dr. He has sorted out a lot one after another, and we will discuss it in another article due to space limitations.
