Reflections after reading "Yu Yongzheng: How I Teach Chinese"

I read this book twice, and I had different insights each time.

When I first read this book, I was mostly respectful, because I knew that Teacher Yu Yongzheng was a national special teacher, had many excellent classes, and had given many speeches across the country...it was me Out of reach.

When reading again, it is with a learning attitude to learn his teaching methods, teaching models, and even teaching results. Maybe my learning results are not one percent as good as Teacher Yongzheng's, but it would be good if it can give me some inspiration.

According to teacher Yu, teaching Chinese is actually very simple. Teaching Chinese means teaching students to read, write, read and compose. To teach students to write, if the teacher likes writing, he knows a little about calligraphy; to teach students to read, if the teacher likes to read, knows how to read, and can read the secrets of the text; to teach students to write, if the teacher can write some articles and knows a little about writing , then it is not difficult to teach Chinese.

Teacher Yu said that teaching Chinese is not difficult. In fact, what matters is the professional ability and quality of the Chinese teacher.

Frontline teachers have to attend classes and prepare lessons every day, and it takes time to study the teaching materials. How to solve this problem?

Teacher Yu’s usual practice is to read aloud first, and after reading to satisfaction, take the time to read the teaching materials. If there are ready-made teaching plans, read the teaching plans. If the "Teaching Objectives" and "Teaching Process and Methods" are approved, copy them accurately. But I don’t copy them completely, because I will have some new experiences and teaching methods. But the following points are never careless: first, write new words in a standardized way, master their stroke order, practice writing on the blackboard well, and strive to become a copybook for students; second, all new words must be looked up in the dictionary, and there are some in the teaching reference Also check, because there are many meanings of words, and the teaching reference often only takes the explanations in the text, although some may not be explained; thirdly, for any word that requires making sentences, you must understand how many meanings it has, know its scope of use, and make sentences Several different types of sentences; fourthly, if there is a point of "combination of reading and writing", I must "get started" and write one first, sometimes more than one.

These not only made me realize that Teacher Yu is a good teacher, but also a teacher who cares about students.

Teacher Yu has very high attainments in teaching composition. First, he likes to write. He often writes something and understands more about composition. Therefore, he guides students in composition. When the time comes, it will be handy. Second, he attaches great importance to composition correction and composition review. The process of correction is the process of discovering students' shining points, and the review is to "amplify" the shining points. The student used an expressive word and wrote an interesting sentence, and I marked it and added eyebrow markings. When it comes to evaluating the lecture, he will talk about how good it is and what is good about it. If a student can praise him a few words or more than a dozen words in one sentence, this is called "amplifying" his shining point. He often refers to "sesame" as "watermelon". When students achieve success and are discovered and praised by teachers, their interest will gradually develop and they will gradually like composition.

Teacher Yu allows students to feel the true meaning of life, feel the true feelings of the world, and cultivate their sentiments through labor, activities, interactions, reading, and the influence of art. Only with affection, righteousness, love and hatred can we capture the shining things in ordinary little things, only then can we resonate with other people's emotions, and only then can we resonate with the beauty in nature. Many students are able to "make a fuss out of molehills" and write emotionally and spiritually. In the final analysis, it is because they have "an ear for music."

The students who are at the back of the team are very valuable if they can write about the little things around them in a clear and logical way. Everyone must "live within their means".

From this book, I understand that improving my professional ability is the first priority, and doing a good job in academic analysis so that students can eat well is the top priority.
