Yan Zhenqing was an outstanding calligrapher and a great patriot in the middle Tang Dynasty. His "Yan Ti" regular script is called "four masters of regular script" with Zhao Meng, Liu Gongquan and Ou Yangxun, and "Yan Gu" with Liu Gongquan.
The appearance of Wu Daozi is a glorious page in the history of figure painting in China. He absorbed folk and foreign painting styles and established a new national style, which was called "Wu Jiaxiang" by the world. As far as figure painting is concerned, Wu Zhuang's painting style shines in the painting world with a new national style. Du Fu, the poet saint, called him a "painting saint".
