Yu Zhenxin’s social evaluation

Foreword

Liu Boshu

Most calligraphers and painters in the past dynasties were officials, and pen and ink were an essential tool for the ancients to take imperial examinations and serve as officials. Nowadays, the industry is segmented, and calligraphy and painting have become specialized professions. Therefore, there are very few leaders who are busy with official duties and are good at calligraphy and painting. My friend Zhenxin has held important positions as mayor of Yangzhou and secretary of the Changzhou Municipal Party Committee for thirty years. The economy and culture have prospered wherever he went, and his political achievements are outstanding and well-known. However, his calligraphy and painting are no less than those of some professional painters. The landscape compositions he created are exquisite in composition, dignified and steady, and the colors are bold and appropriate. They have the beauty of Jiangnan painters and the richness of Northern landscape paintings. His works have participated in many national exhibitions and are well received by the audience.

Zhensheng was born in the ancient city of Suzhou. He lived in the former residence of Lu Runxiang, the number one scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. There were several fanzhuang houses along the small streets along the river. Opposite the door was the old paint shop "Jiang Siyi Tang" founded by Qianlong. He had been painting with the painter since he was a child. Tuan Fan tries to make ends meet to make up for his family's poverty. The kind-hearted painter gave him a set of "Mustard Seed Garden Painting Manual" to guide him into the field of Chinese painting. The key to Zhenxin's success is that he is talented, quick-thinking, loves to trace his roots, and is diligent and eager to learn. The only official who can read thousands of books calmly is my friend Zhenxin. His greatest pleasure in life is reading. The content covers politics, economy, and culture, and he has a gift of photographic memory. His extensive knowledge also enabled him to extensively study the history of Chinese calligraphy and painting and famous painting theories, and be able to understand them thoroughly. Whenever he had the opportunity, he would always carefully appreciate the famous paintings of the past, especially the masterpieces of the Ming and Qing schools, the bold brushwork of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou, and the boneless colors of the Changzhou School, which deeply affected him. In recent years, he has become a disciple of famous masters such as Song Wenzhi, Yaming, and Huang Yongyu. Under the guidance of famous teachers, his skills have become more mature.

Zhenxin's paintings appear to be relatively traditional at first glance, but upon closer inspection, they do not just respect a certain school or school, but integrate and absorb nutrients from many aspects, and rarely maintain that unintentional style. Natural and sentimental, full of aura and thought-provoking. Some paintings also reveal folk interest, but are integrated into the artistic conception of literati. Most of the works allow the viewer to feel the movement in the stillness, the firmness in the softness, and he has gradually formed his own style.

When I first met Zhenxin, I didn’t know that he was also a creative scientific and technological talent. He was the first technical expert to study chemical sensors in my country, and he wrote several volumes of books. He is still a professor of chemistry at the university. This advantage made him more likely to explore the application of new materials and improve science in Chinese painting. Zhenxin's paintings not only absorb traditional techniques and techniques, but also focus on improving paper, ink, color and other materials, and pay attention to the optimization of tools. Therefore, each painting is a process of research and exploration for him, and creating a new artistic conception. Knowledge from both science and art makes him quite talented in the appreciation of calligraphy and painting. He can distinguish authenticity from the author's style and temperament. At the same time, he can study the evolution of paper and silk weaving, the chemical process of color paste formation, and Chinese ink pad pigments. Scientifically distinguish authenticity from multiple perspectives such as the evolution of production processes. He has done creative work on the application of new technologies in the protection of China's historical cities and cultural heritage protection, so he is still a consultant to the Chinese Cultural Relics Society. Mr. Luo Zhewen, the president of the Chinese Cultural Relics Society, also jokingly named him the "Prefect of Articles".

What is commendable is that Zhenxin’s versatility and cultural accomplishment can be reflected in his leadership work. He attaches great importance to the reconstruction and expansion of historical sites and ancient gardens. He attaches great importance to the synchronization of urban transformation and greening and beautification. He believes that modern The construction of the city must be integrated with the poetic and artistic conception of Chinese painting, and must consider the needs of people-oriented and cultivating people's souls. In many places in Yangzhou and Changzhou, I can feel Zhenxin's strong cultural taste and the efforts Zhenxin has made for this.

As his painting friend, in addition to congratulating him on his achievements, I also believe that Zhenxin will perform even better in the future, both in leadership positions and in his artistic career. This is the expectation of friends and the need of the times.

Dinosaur Park, Yu Zhenxin and others

Christmas is coming, and China Dinosaur Park is planning a Christmas carnival to welcome guests from all over the world.

Over the years, I have been going to the Dinosaur Park almost every year. Every time I go, I see new and exciting sights. Not long ago, I once again visited the Dinosaur Park with great interest. What I saw and heard made me very excited.

As an old journalist, I have a deep feeling for the China Dinosaur Park!

In September 2000, a large tourism base, the Chinese Dinosaur Park, was built in Changzhou, where the tourism industry has long been at a disadvantage in East China. Since then, I have become its loyal advocate. and witnesses of its successful rise.

Over the years, my colleagues and I have reported with enthusiasm the entire process of the rise, growth, development, and expansion of the China Dinosaur Park. We wrote "The China Dinosaur Park—A Part of the Tourism Industry in East China" "Dark Horse"", "Dinosaurs "resurrected" in Changzhou! ", "Why is Changzhou Dinosaur Night Park becoming more and more prosperous? ”, “Dinosaur Park: The Mystery of the Long-lasting Prosperity of a Man-Made Attraction” and other long newsletters and several messages have made due efforts for the prosperity of the Dinosaur Park.

Changzhou is also known as "Dragon City", but in history, not even a single dinosaur has been seen here. After the Chinese Dinosaur Park was built here in September 2009, many people mistakenly thought that this might be the "hometown of dinosaurs"! When I took a look here, I realized that this was a masterpiece "made out of nothing" by Changzhou people.

Comrade Yu Zhenxin made a great contribution to the establishment of the Chinese Dinosaur Park.

As far as I know, in 1996, the Fourth World Geological Congress was held in Beijing. The National Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources received ancient animal and plant fossils and fine minerals as gifts from many countries. In order to protect and display these fine works, the Ministry of Geology and Mines envisioned the construction of a new geological museum. At that time, Song Ruixiang, the minister of the Ministry of Geology and Mines, was from Jintan, Changzhou. He accidentally said that this new museum was not going to be built in Beijing. It would be best to build it elsewhere. Can you, Changzhou, provide the money to build it? Our mines The Ministry provides you with fossil exhibits. After hearing this, Yu Zhenxin, then Secretary of the Changzhou Municipal Party Committee, was greatly encouraged as if he had found a treasure. He immediately hooked up with the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources to win over the project.

Yu Zhenxin’s idea is to use this project to lengthen the short leg of Changzhou’s tourism and develop Changzhou’s long-term backward tourism industry.

At that time, I often went to Secretary Yu's office. He, who usually seemed very serious and informal, was extremely excited and beaming when he talked about building a dinosaur park. He was full of treasures and seemed to have changed. On his office desk were several small dinosaur models brought back from the Jurassic Park expedition in the United States. As he talked, he picked up those toys and introduced to me many of the dinosaurs he had visited in the United States with great enthusiasm. Interesting story, really a bit "obsessive".

At that time, the city leaders did not have unanimous opinions on this project. When I was interviewing a city leader, he was very worried and said that Changzhou's industry is in urgent need of large investments. It is too dangerous to invest hundreds of millions of yuan in dinosaurs. The people of Changzhou reviled him.

On this issue, Yu Zhenxin is very stubborn. He insists on his own opinion against all opinions. He said that tourism is a golden industry, a sunrise industry, and a solid wing for Changzhou to take off. Changzhou has lost one development opportunity after another, and our lessons have been harsh enough.

If this project is not grasped, the swan that is about to be obtained will fly away. We are sorry to the people of Changzhou. When will Changzhou's tourism industry take off? Changzhou will have no choice but to crawl behind Suzhou and Wuxi forever!

He said to me frankly: "I am a Suzhou native. I checked a lot of historical records and found that not many Suzhou natives were high-ranking officials in the imperial court. I am already so old, and I don't want to I just want to do some real things for the people of Changzhou while I am working. I know that it will take a lot of risks, but I no longer care about personal gains and losses.” (All based on my interview! Recording and organizing notes)

In this way, Changzhou Dinosaur Park was successfully constructed. Yu Zhenxin and other leading comrades went around again and "digged" more than 50 dinosaur fossil fan bones of various geological ages, including Yongchuanosaurus, Mamenchisaurus, Shandongosaurus, Bakelosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus, to Changzhou.

Yu Zhenxin also told me many stories about how they went out to "dig" national treasure dinosaur fossils, which moved me deeply. How commendable it is for a municipal party committee secretary to work so hard and selflessly in order to promote the tourism industry!

It can be said that without Yang Dawei, there would be no Tianmu Lake; without Yu Zhenxin, there would be no Dinosaur Park. Of course, Changzhou’s tourism industry is not what it is today.

After the Dinosaur Park was built, many people were worried about it: How long will this man-made attraction last?

Changzhou Dinosaur Park has demonstrated its impressive performance over the past ten years: it has succeeded! It has developed and grown amidst people's doubts, criticisms and even accusations, and has become a national 5A-level scenic spot, a beautiful business card of Changzhou, and a flag for the tourism industry in East China and even the whole country!

I think the reason why the Dinosaur Park has endured for a long time is due to its continuous innovation in keeping pace with the times.

Over the years, Dinosaur Park has creatively proposed the "5 2" development model for theme parks and implemented it in depth from business format to form. Currently, the park covers an area of ??more than 600 acres, forming a significant The four tourism and leisure functional areas with unique characteristics and mutual contrast, relying on outstanding creative design, leading technical means, and fresh artistic effects, have formed the core competitiveness that stands proudly in the turbulent wave of theme parks, creating a relatively large-scale tourist attraction in China. It is a large theme park, a tourist destination with strong science popularization and a science popularization education base with strong recreational value. Entering the park, the Dinosaur Hall and Dinosaur Exhibition Hall are eye-opening. In the amusement area, there are six themed areas: Lubra, Hip-Hop Dinosaur City, and Return to Jurassic; Crazy Fire Dragon Diamond and Thunder Dragon Roller Coaster. , Exploring the Hurricane Rocks, Jurassic Time Travel, Peak Express, Dancing Dinosaur Car, Baby Roaming...More than 30 theme rides set off extreme storms, including Brontosaurus Roller Coaster, Exploring the Hurricane Rocks, Lubra, Peak Express, and Time Travel Jurassic, tropical rainforest, film and television special effects hall, and the nearby Dinosaur Valley Hot Spring, etc., make people forget to leave. A large number of world-class amusement equipment from the United States, Germany, Canada, Italy and other countries have joined in, making people feel real. Feeling that the Chinese Dinosaur Park is really more exciting and fun than before.

May the China Dinosaur Park become more prosperous!

Explore the source and seize historical opportunities

When visiting the China Dinosaur Park, questions like this will inevitably arise: There are no local dinosaur resources in Changzhou, so why would such a project arise out of thin air? With this question, the reporter interviewed Xu Xiaoyin, general manager of Changzhou China Dinosaur Park Co., Ltd.

In order to answer this question, Xu Xiaoyin provided reporters with a memoir of Yu Zhenxin, the former Secretary of the Changzhou Municipal Party Committee. The memoirs show that in 1996, Changzhou planned to negotiate a plasticization project with South Korea's Ssangyong Group. At the same time, the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources at that time was also negotiating with Shuanglong Group for a real estate project located in Xisi, Beijing. On September 18 of that year, Zou Jiahua, then Vice Premier of the State Council, met with leaders of Changzhou City and the person in charge of Shuangyong Group. Song Ruixiang, then Minister of Mines and Mines, was also present.

Previously, Zou Jiahua had visited Changzhou to inspect work, so he mentioned Changzhou's nickname "Dragon City" during the conversation. Song Ruixiang said: "When it comes to dragons, our Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources really has dragons, and the land we are negotiating with Shuangyong Group today happens to have a warehouse for storing dinosaur fossils. Please consider allocating 50 million to the State Council to build a Chinese Dinosaur Museum in Beijing. ".

At this time, Yu Zhenxin remembered the lively scene when he visited Jurassic Park at Hollywood Studios. He believed that an opportunity had come, so he boldly interjected, hoping to build this museum in Changzhou, and said that Changzhou could also provide part of the funds. Zou Jiahua thought for a while and said: "Minister Song, there is a natural history museum in front of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. How many dinosaur fossils are there? I heard that not many people go there, because people come to Beijing mainly to see the Forbidden City and the Great Wall. I see Putting it in Changzhou is just to fill the vacancy in East China in this area. I think it's okay! Changzhou can also contribute to the construction of the Chinese Dinosaur Museum, isn't it great! Minister Song, go back and do the work, and say I agree to do it. ”

In the end, Changzhou people seized this opportunity. Subsequently, under the leadership of the Changzhou Municipal Government, five state-owned enterprises invested 60 million yuan as start-up capital to build the Chinese Dinosaur Park, known as the "New Highlight of East China Tourism". Xu Xiaoyin said that the construction of the Chinese Dinosaur Park is also a need for urban development. This place is located in Changzhou High-tech Zone. Its construction focuses on making up for the "shortcomings" of insufficient urban functions and low popularity. She also confirmed that using "Lanlan" and "Lingling" as the provincial sports mascots is indeed intrinsically linked to the China Dinosaur Park.
