In an environment where Buddhism is regarded as a narrow religious belief, misinterpreted as a philosophical discipline, or degenerated into heresy, it is very rare for a practitioner to always insist that Buddhism is a kind of "Buddhist education"; However, there are few painters who can realize Buddhism in their own paintings and calligraphy works, and through their own paintings and calligraphy works, educate and cultivate themselves with righteousness and stay in an impetuous society. Mr Zhang Wuji is such a practitioner.
Among the painters I know well, Mr. Zhang Wuji is calm and profound. As the name implies, Mr. Zhang's paintings and calligraphy are done in a peaceful, calm and natural way, without any trace of flying, scratching and drifting in a hurry. Between his pen and ink, I clearly see a painter and calligrapher's artistic conception of peace, tranquility, no distractions and meditation. Years of Buddhist education have made Mr. Wu Ji's paintings and calligraphy works ethereal, open and enjoyable; The ink force is deep, pure and natural, and the pen is the body, with no similarities. Points and lines intersect, and the charm runs through, which is full of the enlightenment that' the past experience is not enough, the future experience is not enough, and the present experience is not enough'. Mr. Wu Ji tasted: "When you think a pen is brilliant, you must reject it. Repetition means stopping. " This is the Buddhist principle of "don't be persistent" in Buddhist education. Reading Mr. Wu Ji's paintings and calligraphy, you can hear the Buddhist scriptures of his works. Compared with the repeated work of some people in the current market economy, this "routine" style is even more commendable.
Talking about the Diamond Sutra and China's calligraphy and painting is a disgusting work of Mr. Zhang Wuji. Mr. Wu Ji devoted himself 13 years to the understanding of Buddhist scriptures, and combined with the broadness of China's calligraphy and painting, he told his understanding and experience of Buddhist scriptures and calligraphy from many aspects, levels and angles. Every 700,000 words are changed, and he constantly deepens his new understanding. This is one thing.
Mr. Zhang Wuji studied painting with Mr. Du Xianqing and books with Mr. Luo Ziping since childhood. The pen and ink consciousness of his landscape paintings, figure paintings, flower-and-bird paintings and calligraphy works is a true interpretation of his Buddha nature. His works are elegant in ink, simple and heavy in lines and profound in consciousness. Observe his works, such as asking Zen, looking at his paintings, and casting your conscience and kindness in the meantime. I don't see any nonsense running through the concept that all Buddhism in the world is Buddhism. I read Mr. Wu's paintings and calligraphy repeatedly, and found my heart in pen and ink. As a painter, being able to integrate his works with the audience will make him feel better. Isn't calligraphy and painting a great realm of cultural inheritance? In this way, Mr. Wuji conveyed the essence of Buddhist education and calligraphy and painting culture with his own poems and paintings.
A man of practice, without separation, can really have the same attitude and thinking towards all beings in the world as himself, and when he falls into his paintings and calligraphy, he can read his compassion and generosity to the world. This is the atmosphere in Mr. Zhang Wuji's Pujue Hall.
In midsummer, Liu was writing in Linxi Gallery, Xilai Ancient Town.
