It is said that Orange Island is a long and narrow sand island in the middle reaches of Xiangjiang River. After getting off the bus, we entered the Orange Island Scenic Area. Wow! This is a natural park with trees and lush vegetation! Our five children walked and picked up the fruit that fell from the tree. I quickly picked up eight pinecones and other fruits. After walking for a while, we came to a big stone monument. Although I can't see it clearly, the font "fly while flying" may be the word "Mao" said by adults! It is said that Chairman Mao's calligraphy is also very accomplished. No wonder everyone is waiting in line to take pictures as a souvenir! We also took some photos. After a while, we came to a group of statues and I read the introduction. These four men are all important figures in the history of New China, and one of them is Mao Zedong. Among the other three people, Xiang Jingyu and Cai Hesen only lived in their thirties. Looking down his eyes, I saw that the rushing Xiangjiang River was split in two by Orange Island, and the water hit the rocks and bounced back into the river, only touching the upper and lower layers of water. In this way, it is surging and magnificent, comparable to the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River and the Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River. I think he may be thinking that it is the erosion of Xiangjiang River year after year that makes Orange Island become such a long and narrow terrain! My uncle said, "Mao Zedong thought deeper ..." Then he explained to me the historical background of China at that time and the poem Qinyuanchun-Changsha.
