The ancient city of Guangfu is the birthplace of Yang and Wu styles of Tai Chi. It gave birth to the two founders of Tai Chi, Yang Luchan and Wu Yuxiang. Derived from the two major schools of Sun Style Tai Chi and Wu Style Tai Chi, it is the hometown of Tai Chi and a veritable holy land of Tai Chi. In the past 200 years, a number of Tai Chi masters, masters and famous figures have appeared in the ancient city of Guangfu, such as Yang Luchan, Wu Yuxiang, Li Yishe, Yang Banhou, and Hao Weizhen. They not only studied Tai Chi, but also recruited many disciples, making Tai Chi spread from Guangfu to the whole country. Go out into the world. Weng Tonghe, the teacher of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty and a famous calligrapher in the Qing Dynasty, wrote a couplet by himself after watching Yang Luchan compete with others, "Holding Tai Chi in hand to shock the world, possessing unique skills to surpass all heroes." This couplet has been hanging in front of the main hall of Yang Luchan's former residence.

It is precisely based on the achievements and influence of Tai Chi in the ancient city of Guangfu at home and abroad that Yongnian County has been named the "Hometown of Tai Chi in China", "Tai Chi Holy Land", and "Chinese Tai Chi Research Center".
