Who is the great calligrapher of the Eastern Jin Dynasty?

Wang Xizhi learned from others and became a whole.

Wang Xizhi was born in Langxie (now Linyi, Shandong) and later settled in Huiji (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang). He is a general in the right-wing army, and people call him Wang Youjun. When Wang Xizhi was young, he was silent and studied calligraphy very seriously. As he walked and ate, he often pondered the style of calligraphy, thinking that his hand scratched his body and his clothes were cut after a long time. After practicing calligraphy every day, he goes to the pond in front of the door to wash the brush and inkstone. After a long time, the water in the pool turned black, so it was called "Mo Chi". These legends may be exaggerated, but they reflect Wang Xizhi's efforts in learning calligraphy. Because of his eagerness to learn, Wang Xizhi copied the calligraphy of great calligraphers of past dynasties when he traveled to famous mountains and rivers. Until he was in his fifties, he still enjoyed it. One night when he was sleeping in bed, he scratched his body with his hand and accidentally caught his wife. His wife said angrily, "how can you scratch on others?" I don't have my own body! " When Wang Xizhi heard the word "own style", he suddenly realized that he should create his own calligraphy style. From then on, he learned from others, absorbed the essence of each family, gained the ever-changing god, studied hard and practiced hard, and really became a whole. His calligraphy is elegant, fluent and rigorous, and people describe him as "flowing and agile as a dragon". Among Wang Xizhi's calligraphy works, the running script Preface to Lanting, the regular script Huang Tingjing and Le Yi Lun are the most famous.
