Introduction to Yang Xun Monument

The head of Chi is a square seat; the forehead is inscribed with the eight characters "Stele of the Celebration of the Sages of Hongnong" written in seal script by Prince Li Heng. The inscription is an imperial letter of Emperor Xuanzong, with 26 lines and 57 characters in each line. Emperor Xuanzong was 68 years old when he wrote this stele, and his calligraphy had reached a proficiency. The inscription is written in the eight-point font popular in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, recording the family background and life conduct of the Yang Xun clan. Emperor Xuanzong's calligraphy is vigorous, vigorous and impressive, and has been loved by calligraphers of all ages. Since the Tang Dynasty, countless admirers have made unrestrained rubbings on the Yang Xun stele in order to obtain rubbings of the inscriptions on the Yang Xun stele. As a result, the inscriptions on the stele have been smeared, and the number of rubbings on the stele has reached one-third. After more than 1,200 years of ups and downs, the Yang Xun Monument still stands tall and untouched. In 1957, the Yang Xun Monument was announced by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government as a provincial key cultural relics protection unit. At that time, in order to protect the monument, plans were made to relocate the Yang Xun Monument. The visit to the Forest of Steles in Xi'an, which was regarded as the treasure of the museum, was ultimately not possible due to the huge size of the monument and the lack of equipment at the time. The Fufeng County People's Government built a blue brick stele tower on the top of the mountain to protect Yang Xun's stele. From then on, the stele was protected from wind and rain erosion. The calligraphy, art, research and appreciation value of Yang Xun's stele are extremely high. Now, the Fufeng County People's Government has formulated a new protection plan for the Yang Xun Monument. Soon, this thousand-year-old monument will have a new look, welcoming tourists from all over the world with its majestic appearance.
