I fell in love with calligraphy. I occasionally turn over a copy of Liu Gongquan's Shence Army Monument from my grandfather's bookshelf. No matter old people or children, many people, like me, have never been exposed to books. What are the important reasons? I chose the wrong entry copybook.
It is generally believed that beginners should choose Liu Yanou's early regular script model for temporary learning. We also see that many children learn the same thing, but this can't help improve their actual calligraphy level. Because the existing Tang Kai models are mostly rubbings. Although the rubbings are beautiful, they lose too many details of the writing process, leaving only the finished shape. The result of studying rubbings on rubbings is that we only see the final result, but we don't understand the writing process of this form. There's no point in repeating it, because I still can't write it without a tablet. Without him, I don't understand the process of writing generations. Which tablet to choose for beginners depends on teachers and their hobbies, but there are several principles to refer to: 1? Don't learn from contemporary people; 2? Don't learn inscriptions; 3? 1. Contemporary learning: Why can't contemporary works be used as a model for beginners? Not to belittle people. The main reason is that the times are similar, it is easy to get its shape, and it will soon be able to get started. In this way, it is inevitable to buy gifts and return pearls, ignoring their brushwork. In the long run, you will eventually go astray. And contemporary people are too close to us to be washed away by time. It is inevitable that good and evil people are mixed up, and it is not appropriate for novices to distinguish them. It is better to stay away from them.
2. Don't learn the inscription: the inscription is not impossible to learn, but for the master. Look how wonderful Wang Duolin's pavilion posts are. Because for a master, if you give him a bone, he can restore all his muscles. For a beginner, it is necessary to grasp the tendon, which is the vein of strength. You give a beginner a pile of bones, and he gives you a skeleton, which is still dead.
3. Don't learn official books: seal script, official script and regular script are all official books. Beginners learn cursive script instead of official script. This view seems a bit unconventional. What is a real book equivalent to? It is equivalent to kicking the previous step. It looks good. But will you teach your child to kick forward when walking? Didn't it all start with rolling, climbing, running and falling? Therefore, beginners can start with a less rigorous running script (don't learn Lanting preface! )。 For example, Han bamboo slips, classic books written by Tang people and running scripts written by Tang people (including three strokes and three descriptions written by Japan, all of which are Tang people, because Japan was a fan of the Tang Dynasty at that time), although seemingly close to real books, have many clear and standardized calligraphy traces, so they are actually running scripts. You can even learn cursive script. Instead of asking beginners to write autobiographical stickers, you can write Cao Zhang. The benefits of writing about Cao Zhang are endless.
4. Don't learn to write well copybooks: Don't touch people like Rainbow and Zhao Mengfu. It seems that the criteria for choosing copybooks are getting more and more outrageous. It seems that parents say to their children earnestly: don't find a beautiful husband! Handsome guy doesn't have a good thing In fact, children don't listen at all. What is the reason for such strange standards? It's like this: a beautiful-looking word can easily make beginners focus on its shape and ignore its brushwork, that is, writing method. The result is a little understanding of the font, but no progress in brushwork. In the final analysis, it is a temporary job, and creation is creation. If you don't integrate, why bother to study for a long time? Beginners, if you want to choose an ugly Gu Mo, only by writing it down will you find the beauty of its inner movement. If you write according to the internal movements, you will find that the font you write is even better than the copybook, so you have nothing to steal.
5. Don't learn after Yuan Dynasty: There are many good works after Yuan Dynasty, so why not learn? Well, some people write well, but they are not suitable for being teachers. For example, people like Xu Wei and the Eighth National Congress have to fall into the ditch to learn from them. Although the works after the yuan dynasty are wonderful, they lack the golden mean temperament of classical calligraphy and are somewhat modern. Personality? Style. The novice inadvertently came back with a bunch of personalities, but failed to grasp the technical core of the teacher. It's no use. It is better not to learn.
