What is the relationship between Wei Xiaobao's archetypal figure Feng Bao and The Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival?

Feng Bao, the prototype of Wei Xiaobao, was probably the last collector of The Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival in Ming Dynasty.

Feng Bao entered the palace in the middle of Jiajing, and was appointed as the magistrate of Dongchang in the first year of Qin Long. At first, Mu Zong didn't like him. Later, he died and was one of the four ministers of Fuzheng with Zhang Tong. He and Zhang are good political partners, and because they have been taking care of their daily lives, they are deeply trusted by themselves and others.

Feng Bao was called by the Forbidden City at that time? Interior? Zhang He, a master outside and a master inside, cooperated with each other to complete many reforms beneficial to the people, and at the same time rehabilitated many unjust prisons. Is a very talented person.

He has some experience in literature, music and painting. He once wrote a book about the interpretation of rhythm, scripture and sound. As the producer of the ceremony, he carved a large number of cultural books in the palace, such as the Four and Five Classics, the Five Classics and the Emperor's Illustration, to impart knowledge to the people in the palace. Eunuchs in the late Ming Dynasty spoke highly of him.

He especially likes playing the violin and making his own guqin, so he is the best in the palace. Because I am proficient in calligraphy, I naturally like painting, but there are no masterpieces handed down from generation to generation.

The Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival was originally collected by Yan and his son during Jiajing period. This painting has been kept in the palace since Yan's property was stolen. Later, I wanted to give this painting to lord protector Zhu, but I quit, so I sent someone to steal it.

It is said that at that time, in order to steal the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival from the palace, Feng Bao tried his best to hide the painting in the gap of the stone fence in the palace. As a result, because of the continuous heavy rain, the picture scroll was soaked, so this famous painting left water stains.

Later, Feng Bao carefully preserved the painting and attached his own inscription to it, but he didn't mention anything. This painting was given by the emperor because he stole it.

After Zhang's death, he was offended by yongning princess's choice of spouse and was banished back to Nanjing Imperial Factory. The Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival should have been brought to Nanjing by him at that time. Later, it fell into the hands of a man named Lu in Anhui in the Qing Dynasty.
