Practice of cement texture

Classification: Education/Science >> Technology >> Engineering Technology Science

Problem description:

I want to know the construction method of cement texture or putty texture on the wall, thank you.

Analysis:

First, the concept of texture

Texture refers to the texture on the surface of an object. "Muscle"-skin; "Reason"-texture, texture, texture. Different substances have different material properties, so they have different texture forms, such as wet and dry, smooth and rough, bright and dim, soft and hard, etc. These texture forms can make people feel changeable. For example, some surfaces are soft to the touch, some are rough and hard, and some are delicate. The application of texture effect has a long history in China. As early as the Neolithic Age, pottery used relief to decorate lines and other textures on the surface of utensils. There are also straw patterns on the bricks of Han Dynasty portraits. The natural cracks in porcelain in Song Dynasty and the flying white in China's calligraphy all show people's aesthetic pursuit of different forms of texture effects, as well as their understanding and utilization of different materials.

Whether macroscopic or microscopic, the material world that human beings can perceive will provide us with rich and diverse material representations. The texture patterns expressed by these materials convey different information. For example, the skin texture on a person's face will reflect different ages and different life experiences, and even subtle differences will be reflected through different facial textures. Therefore, while understanding the object, we should constantly explore a new understanding of the image of the object and apply the texture to modern design.

Second, the form of texture.

Texture is generally divided into visual texture and tactile texture.

1. Visual texture

Visual texture is the understanding of the surface characteristics of objects, which is generally seen with eyes rather than touched by hands. Its shape and color are very important, which is an important factor in texture composition;

Texture can be expressed in a variety of ways, such as using pens, pencils, ballpoint pens, writing brushes, spray pens and colored pens, all of which can form their own unique texture traces; It can also be made by coating, spraying, sprinkling, grinding, rubbing, soaking, baking, dyeing, spraying, fumigating moxibustion, rubbing, pressing, cutting and scraping. There are many materials available, such as wood, stone, glass, fabric, paint, sponge, paper, pigments, chemical reagents and so on. With the development of modern science and technology, more textures will be applied to our modern design. Here are a few simple techniques.

Drawing method. Free drawing or regular drawing with a pen can directly create a texture effect. When making this texture, the smaller the image of the texture element, the better, otherwise the texture will be lost.

A texture effect formed by printing the surface pattern of an uneven object on another plane.

Fumigation and moxibustion. Natural texture produced on paper surface by flame fumigation and moxibustion.

Gravity flow method. Drop the pigment or oil painting pigment into water and inhale it with paper, or drop the pigment on smoother paper, let the pigment flow freely or blow it with air to form a natural texture.

Print or self-print. Comprehensive production of screen printing, lithographic printing, copperplate printing and woodblock printing.

Collage method. Various paper materials and other plane materials are divided and combined on one screen.

There are many ways to make texture, and it needs constant experiment and exploration to create various forms.

2. Tactile texture

Touching a texture with a concave-convex feeling by hand is a tactile texture.

Smooth texture can give people a delicate and smooth feeling, such as glass and marble; Hard texture can give people a tingling sensation, such as metal and rock; The texture of wood can give people a simple, kind and unpretentious feeling, which makes people quiet.

① Natural texture. Existing materials (wood, cloth, paper, rope, glass, metal, building materials, etc. ) there is no texture formed by processing.

② The texture of creation. After treatment and transformation, the surface of the raw material is a texture form different from the original touch. After carving, kneading, baking and other processes, they are arranged and combined.

Texture is an indispensable element in modern product design, commercial design, textile design and indoor and outdoor architectural design. Proper use of texture can make the shape more attractive. In addition, the form of texture can be combined with repetition, gradual change, radiation, variation, contrast and replication.

It is not advisable to directly use cement as texture on the wall raised by the landlord, because cement needs to absorb a lot of water during solidification, which is prone to cracks and broken lines and is not easy to grasp the wall. It is suggested that the cracking phenomenon can be improved by adding polymer into cement. The wall should be rough, preferably coarse sand. If it is smooth, it needs to be sanded before construction.

Of course, if your coating is thin (below 2mm), you can use cement putty directly.
