The heavy curtains will not be rolled up all day long. The courtyard is deserted and it is already half autumn. It is difficult to relieve oneself from the idle sorrow, and the time changes in the empty mirror.
The door of Lonely Fragrance is ajar. The pulse has no reason, and I think about the past all over the place. It's just that the soul is about to break up, and the sound of the new Yannan Tower is late.
-----Ye Wanwan
Ye Wanwan is the eldest daughter of Ye Shaoyuan and Shen Yixiu. The four mothers and daughters are all famous in the literary world of the late Ming Dynasty. They are really a wonder in the history of Chinese women's literature. Qian Qianyi's "Short Biography of Poetry Collection of Dynasties" records that Ye Wanwan said: "The character is Zhaoqi, his appearance is elegant, and he is golden and jade-like. He was three years old and could recite "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" and poems at the age of thirteen. His calligraphy is vigorous and has the style of Jin Dynasty. ." This is evident from the high regard people had for her at that time.
Ye Wanwan's marriage is unfortunate. This is reflected in her father's "Self-written Chronicle". The marriage was decided upon when she was just born. "The newborn daughter is treasured in the night light, the third son named Xu Ruosi. Xian said that Shi Zhi was elegant and returned to Pan Yang. It was a beautiful talk for a while. Knowing the hatred of the world, "I've lost my jade." The words revealed the deep regret and guilt of the then elderly father for what he had done in his early years.
Forty-eight of Wanwan's lyrics remain, which were compiled by her father into her posthumous collection "Sorrowful Words". It can be roughly divided into two categories. One is about singing harmony with sisters in the boudoir when she was not married, and is filled with the spirit of a pure and happy girl. The other is a portrayal of the unfortunate life after marriage, full of sorrow and resentment. This song "Butterfly Loves Flowers" is such a representative work of "sad words". The *** in the poem is lonely. Although the curtains were not rolled up all day long, I still knew that the Mid-Autumn Festival was already happening outside the window. The autumn wind and autumn rain are so sad that it is better not to roll up the heavy curtains. Even if I don't curl up, the sorrow that permeates my heart is hard to dissipate and it's hard to relieve myself. Facing the change of my appearance in the rhombus mirror, I know that the "autumn" of life has come to my "heart" prematurely. ——There is "autumn" in "heart", doesn't it mean the word "sorrow"?
Just living in a closed environment all day long, feeling sorry for myself and sighing. To say it is closed does not mean it is completely closed. The lonely door was still ajar, and cigarette smoke drifted out from there. The door of memory was also half-closed and half-opened. There was no need to trigger it, and it was not about being moved by the scene. The flowing river of memory brought her back to the sweet and sour past. Is it the joyful "past event" in which the three sisters gathered around the maids to follow the spring, each wrote a word for the title "Suichun", and competed to win or lose? Is it the sad "past" about the sudden death of my younger sister before her wedding? Standing alone, I can't help but lose my soul. The past events are pouring in, and I can't hold it back. What's even more embarrassing, in the sunset from the south tower, there are several more sad calls of new geese! Why doesn't it make people heartbroken?
It should be said that the artistic level of this poem is very high, so in the Republic of China, Zhao Zunyue wrote the poem clearly and commented on her words as "reasonable and affectionate", "quiet and deep". If you are wandering around, you can also go to the gates of great craftsmen." Her poems are full of sadness, such as "The river and the sky are gradually blooming, and the old Pingzhou is fragrant. The conquerors do not worry about the lack of time" ("Lock the Cold Window"), "Looking in front of the Chunqing Tower, the east wind is getting old, but I can't help but feel sad." "("Jade Butterfly") etc. Such a delicate and delicate little girl is really "unable to carry so many sorrows". She herself married the Yuan family of Zhaotian, and after seven years of marriage, she never lived a happy day, and was "unable to achieve her ambitions" (Qian Qianyi's "Biography of Poems of All Dynasties"). When her younger sister Xiaoluan was about to get married, she wrote a "poem to encourage her to marry" to express her congratulations, hoping that her sister would not be as unfortunate as herself. Unexpectedly, before the poem was published, the obituary had arrived, and the family's favorite Xiaoluan died five days before the wedding! This blow was fatal to her. "Gui Crying Sister was too sad, fell ill and died. Zhao Qi took refuge in the Dharma, recited Sanskrit scriptures every day, and studied on his own. He was seriously ill, resisted and sat in danger, and passed away while reciting the Buddha's name. He was twenty-three years old." (ibid.) Read this. In a paragraph of text, the last moments of the poet's life are vividly displayed before his eyes. It can be seen that the poet is not a weak woman, but a fierce woman with her own persistent beliefs that will last until death.
Wanwan and Xiaoluan died one after another, in an era when feudal ethics were the strictest and women were most suppressed.
Fortunately, there is still "Yiye (Ye Xiaowan)" alive in the world. When he was sad, he wrote the play "Mandarin Duck's Dream" to express a voice of resistance for the three sisters. This was already the strongest voice that women of that era could make.
