The calligraphy created by independent artist Shi Feng stands out in the ever-changing artistic situation. In the new calligraphy of innovation and change, many of them have rushed out of the bottom line of calligraphy, and some of them are still unsightly.

Shi Feng is sober, dedicated and wise, and creates creative calligraphy that is different from traditional calligraphy and other calligraphy. He doesn't use a brush, writes with a blackboard pen, and his strokes don't follow the eight-character method, breaking the original structure, shaping novel characters, writing in black and white, and painting colors ... All his breakthroughs seem to be out of control, but they are well-founded; Combing out the universal artistic principles, with the characteristics of contemporary art.

Shi Feng's creative calligraphy is a contemporary art with blood and roots. It shows the charm of Chinese characters and contains the beauty of calligraphy. It is recognizable and readable, and can distinguish regular script, running script and cursive script. Some strokes are juxtaposed, some are disconnected, and some echo. Modern composition is representation, and the way of calligraphy is soul.

Some contemporary calligraphy is just an empty shell of form, while Shi Feng's creative calligraphy has form and content. Zhu Sirui, a critic in yunnan art, interprets Shi Feng's creative calligraphy: the designer's words and the painter's words, paying more attention to the composition consciousness of the whole plane and the painting combination of points, lines and surfaces. For example, Gu Gan, Wei Ligang and Shi Feng regard writing as the image of a book, seek spirituality from the meaning of words and expressions and the aesthetic law of abstract art, endow writing with modern aesthetic consciousness, try to break the traditional precepts, pay more attention to self-interpretation, and re-perceive Chinese characters with strangeness.

This essence is more obvious in ancient Chinese characters, such as Oracle Bone Inscriptions, seal script and inscriptions on bronze. The decline of this trait begins with the practical function of Chinese characters. The emotional expression in Chinese characters is the conscious expression of literary significance, environment and soul, but Chinese characters are still practical. As a functional reading text, the standardization of its writing has been replaced by printing. Today, it is more meaningful to write traditional calligraphy, which is more inheritance and difficult to innovate.

Secondly, artistic interpretation is a very difficult thing, and it is not easy to understand the author's will and intention very accurately.
